Played a quick game last night (my first try at 2011)
the close replays and intros etc are awsome but when the game starts from that camera angle I think it just looks pants! ?
maybe I need to try a few more games but the players look really over detailed and fake on the pitch (they kind of stand out?)
they also seemed to have like black pixilation around them?? it only a small gripe
but I just dont think it looks as good as the videos ive watched on the web??

might be my tv but I got a samsung hd with decent hd cables all other games look good?

I think it's the camera angle if I'm honest. You say yourself the graphics look good when close-up, and I think that the graphics are indeed good, and the lighting is also decent. It's just with this years default camera angle being a bit more distant, you don't really get the benefit of the graphics and the detail. It works both ways though, as with the default camera now being further out and panning around the pitch, it makes the passing and picking out players more fluid which is what Konami wanted to do I'm sure with the new implemented passing system - which is brilliant isn't it?

So yeah, I know where you're coming from. I don't think the graphics are bad however, it's just the default camera angle being so far out doesn't help show the level of detail well. I'm sure you'll be able to change camera angles and zoom in a little closer with the full PES 2011 game, so there shouldn't be any worry.

Is it on PS3 or xbox you're playing it? It looks fine on my hd tv on 360 so it might be tv if you're on xbox aswell. Other than that all I can say is, it's a demo, which would mean an unfinished preview code.

its on ps3 but i will download it on the xbox360 tonight and try that on the same tv.

as for the passing thing.. im not really getting it at the mo, just feels a bit layboured. i cant pseem to ass the ball to the wing switch it back round to the other side and put smooth diagonal crosses in the box like on 2010.

But it might be because it the demo and the camera angle?

I'm not sure then, because I've been having a great time with the new passing system, as has everyone else I know who's commented upon it.

I don't think the graphics will differ greatly between the PS3 and the Xbox 360 though to be honest, the 360's might be a touch better as is often seems to be the case, but it won't be anything substantial.

I play on normal long and found the camera better for playing because it's a tad closer and you can time passes better in my opinion. I don't know, maybe I'm too used to normal long camera.
The passes are great once you start to understand them.
I still haven't mastered them, but it feels much better now after playing several games.

I really hope broadcast camera is in the full version, it made pes2010 look like a new game for me and more like the last gen versions. Passing coupled with the new animations and fluidity would look superb in broadcast camera.

I don't like the camera angles they've given us in the demo since I'm used to close cameras such as normal close. PES 2010 looked brilliant on that and so will PES 2011. FIFA on the other hand...looks OK on close cameras but terrible on far ones.
