I cant play pro evo because of the disk it dosent work which i dont understand as I have only had the game for 1 week and all of that week it has been in my ps2

same thing happened me. i just went in and got a refund

if you leave a disc constantly in the computer it can affect the disc which in a result will end in the disc not reading so go get a refund

Same thing happens to me occasionally, but it seems to eventually work after a few tries. Haven't a clue why it does that.

same thing happened to me with gt4 but i went and got my papers back i dont get why some games dont work on my ps with no scratches, my sims dont work and its like new
tony hawks 2 (yes the ps1 version is still great) works at my mates but not mine, wtf

My PES wasn't working, so I bought a cleaning disc and now it works without a problem.

When mine wasnt working, i sat my PS2 upwards instead of lying flat and it worked straight away.. thats what they recommended in the shop so they're idea worked.

i done this a few weeks ago when my ps2 wouldnt close but the sims, vertua tennis 2 and thps 2 still dont work, im gonna get a lens cleaner soon anyway

Yeah that works putting it on it's side.

Once your PS2 gets old it has trouble reading discs. I've had mine for over 4 years now and it's having problems with some games like PES4 and 5, Prince of Persia, GTA etc.
Usually works after a few attempts though.
