Hi... the diving move... does it work... i mean... can you really get a freekick from it??? How do you do it??? Just seems everytime i do it... even with players on me... i just can't get that freekick... the ref just comes over and hands out a yellow card...

i didnt know you could dive on purpose! how do you do it?

i sometimes try to get the keeper to foul me but i can never get it right.

It's in the book somewhere... the lil guide you get with the game... you have to have the ball at your feet... and press something like...

R1 L1 L2 at the same time...

and your player should fall to the floor like a sack of potatoes....

hehe, i tried a few times but cant get it to happen. oh well.

about your free kicks thing, i feel yor pain. the only thing i find effective is to get the full back to take it and hope the winger makes a run down the line, then through ball it to him and play a quick cross in.

im not a big fan of the free kicks, especially the quick restart thing, never bloody works!

From my own experince and reading from other users, the chances for winning a freekick or a penalty kick are really slim. Things you can do to enhance that probability is to draw a defender as close as possible.

But to be honest, the only freekicks I have won are in my own half (which are much easier to win than in a dangerous position), so I kinda gave up trying to win FKs and PKs from diving a while ago.

awwww... was kinda hoping that there was some kind of tactic... :( seemed like a good lil thing to add in the game... they should make it more of a tactical thing... and making some players dive better than others... like drogba lol... or ronaldo... (MU)

Well, I heard (it might've been here) that you're more likely to win a FK or penalty the further the referee is from the action, so to speak.

I've not really tried it that much myself, but I do know from experience that the decision normally goes against you. I'd probably estimate there's a 25/30% chance that you'll get the decision.

Best way to get a freekick from a dive is when the player slides in early perform the dive as your just coming up to the leg my mate done it on me and i got booked for the challenge

It's really difficult because the Computer (AI) knows the button combination you have pressed and knows you have attempted to dive, so 9 times out of 10 you will be caught, so what's the point in adding this feature? Just for show if you ask me?

But then again I'm thinking the master player could probably master the technique and you'd have to do it within a split second before the defender attempts to tackle the ball off you.

Personally, i've never tried it in online mode or in exhibition as there's too much going on, i'm usually too busy trying to nick a goal in the last minute, i'd rather go for goal than risk giving a free kick away in the last minute lol, if anyone can get it to work, that's amazing lol

i only really tried to dive to try and get a free kick was the first time i got the game. no matter how hard i tried the ref just wouldnt budge. ever since i dont even try. plus im not a cheating scumbag :ninja:

There is a little window after being knocked off balance, when your player stumbles alittle, this is when dive should be used. Your reactions have to be super sharp though.

Seabass mentioned it in an interview, but so far have only got it to work a couple of times.

Also, when the opposition bumps into you, press it as quick as humanly possible.

The player also makes a sound like OMPF, try and press it ASAP aswel then.

If it doesnt work, you simply are not fast enough.

It success one time for me. When my player was inside the box and around him three def. Then I let my player to dive, the referee believe me and give me penalty.
I think if referee can't see your player in good angle, he will believe you.

iv managed a few times but its just not enough chance of working. my friend got a penalty once but evey1 i know has stopped trying it now
