Do we think there will be a PES 2017...

...and if so, will it be the last ever?

I mean, it seems like Konami don't give a rats arse about it anymore. Because of the cock ups this year, I reckon many fans will switch to the dark side next time out as well.

Do you think Konami will call it a day? If so, which PES edition will everyone revert to playing for the rest of their days?! :)

I think there will be a PES 2017, but as to whether it's the last one ever.... who knows? It's a pivotal year for them, after the fuckups this year. I think Bhatti has already tweeted about improvements they're looking to make with regards to accurate squads and updates etc, hopefully this isn't bullshit.

From a personal standpoint, if Bolton get relegated, and there's no League 1 in PES 2017 (both highly likely), I can't see me getting the game. Buying a PES game and not doing a ML with Bolton just doesn't seem right.

There will be PES 17 for sure. They already made surveys, asking fans what they like, what they dont like, what needs to be improved. New people are invited to join editing teams and yes, they said they will change the way transfer updates work for offline. Adam mentioned many times that PES future is safe. Thats all I noticed and read.

I cant see them getting League 1. Actually, the idea of even having second division is pretty new, since PES 15. Having third league or going even lower would be fantastic, but it will probably take a lot of time to be even considered or added to the game... I can see only one way of getting Bolton, if they actually fly away. You would need to create them (import emblem, kit, create players) and switch it with one of the Championship sides.

Sad to see you leave. Your name will be remembered.

If the game only features new squads, etc I don't need it. But if they fix the blatant AI issues and derby matches and (...) I will welcome it.

Who knows, if I see other people are having loads and loads and loads of fun with the game, I may be tempted. I could always just create a fake team like the good ol' days.

(Please please please, Konami, let us create a ML team from scratch, with kits, emblem etc, without having to edit an existing team)

I think Konami definitely need to implement some massive changes next time out, otherwise we may as well all just keep updating Pes 2016 and play that instead. I think they need to think long and hard about, firstly, the presentation of the game itself. It's all so outdated and cheap looking. The gameplay can always be tweaked and improved, that's a given. They should allow people to edit every team in the game, not just a certain amount. And obviously they need to cut out the stupid decisions and fuck ups that have mired this edition.

The saddest thing is, PES 2016, being the 20th anniversary edition, should have been the best edition of all time. And Konami ruined it totally.

My gut feeling about PES is that it looks like they don't have genuine football fans working on the game. This years edition looks like it's the brain-child of a group of people who THINK they know what football fans like without actually knowing.

The time spent on the monthly stat updates could have been put to better use IMO, also making a big deal about a player being given the "Maestro" or "Bandiera" role, does anyone really care about this?

I know it's been said loads of times on here but the refereeing really is abysmal, specifically waving "play-on" when your player has been hacked down on the edge of YOUR OWN penalty area. The ball rolls to your defender surrounded by 2-3 attackers and you want the free-kick to alleviate pressure, not to play on.

The ridiculous transfers are an issue for me as well, in my latest ML Dybala has gone to Watford, Kane to Everton, Payet to Malaga and they're just the one's I've noticed.

That said, the last patch has improved the gameplay and I'm enjoying playing it but only after hours of downloading and editing, it's a lot of hassle. I'll probably stick with it until Nov-Dec time this year, see what FIFA has to say, if it's shit, go back to PES.

At this moment in time I think I will just stick with PES 2016 for as long as possible, maybe until after next season's January transfer window (give Konami a chance to update the squads!!) and then assess from there.

As much as I enjoy a bit of editing, the trouble with PES is, by the time you've done all that (multiple times after updates etc) it's almost time for the next edition to be released!! If the next one isn't going to be much different then I may as well stick with what I have.
