Which one do you prefer ?''

I prefer ANALOG STICK IN PES 2011 , you can't play really good in D-pad when you joggling the ball in Pes 2011 . I only use D-pad for shooting and Corner Kick because it is more accurate .

PES4, PES5, PES6, PES2008... I played D-Pad.

PES2009, PES2010 and PES2011... I play Analog. I play FIFA alot, so I am used to only having one option which is the Analog Stick, so that's what I use for PES now too :D

You can change the button config to same as PES!

Oh D-Pad for me!

used to use D-pad, find it hard to pass the ball with the new passing system with the D-pad though so I have switched to stick.

I think anyone still using the d-pad in Pes 2011 should just uninstall and go back to playing the SNES lol. At least in 2009 and earlier, using the stick offered absolutely no fuckin benefit other than comfort for some, so it didn't really matter which one you used. The stick offered a slight benefit in 2010 and in 2011 it's a huge benefit. Imagine Konami advertising total freedom with 360 passing but no support for analog stick control. Make the jump already you pansies and embrace the new age of football gaming.

Precision is ALWAYS better with the D-Pad, to me that's what it comes to.

This post makes absolutely no sense at all.

How can a D-pad (limited amount of direction) offer more precision than an analogue stick (360 degrees rotation)?

Dude must be playing on fully assisted settings.

It just is.

You may have a limited number of options in therms of passing, but the ones you can do are very precise.

What's the point of having the ability to spray the ball around if you can't be accurate enough with the stick?

And I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one feeling this way.

d-pad still seems to work better for me, and to be honest, its a preference thing, so no need to troll others on their decisions

I just started using the analogue when i realised pes2011 would be rubbish if i didn't. Felt weird at first but only took a day or two of practice

People who use the stick must be really excellent gamers. No matter how hard I try I'm never able to get used to using the stick instead of the D-Pad. Most of the time I just can't keep moving my player in a straight line using the stick and I end up crossing the touch line. There's always that bit of diagonal movement even though I try very hard to keep moving straight. Anyway, I guess the main reason some gamers are excellent with the stick is that they are console players so they use the stick for movement in almost every game and so they developed a good sense of direction with the stick. As a moderate PC gamer I almost never use the stick at all because in other types of games - like shooting games for example - I tend to use the keyboard and mouse so I never developed my skills with the stick.
