dribble along wings, nobody closes you down

Hello there,

Could anyone tell me why my oppostion SB(or other defenders) does not close me down or tackle me when i dribble down along the wing(especially left wing) to the bottom line and prepare to pass the ball
to the middle so my CF can score heading or volley goals, i found that
very unrealistic and thats how i scored the most of my goals. For me,
thats the easiest way to score: dribble down along the wings, pass the
ball to the middle and my CF will nearly have a guaranteed scoring chance, thats it. Through ball passes through midfield or by wing play as i just mentioned are the major ways of attacking and scoring for me.
Maybe there will be more various ways of attacking and scoring methods for players to enjoy this game more, but i found those ways might be way too complicated and not really feasible in PES 2011. If someone knows diversed ways of attacking and scoring method, please
share the knowledge with me and other PES fans, thanks a lot.

Another thing is if you play against tough teams like Juventus or Barca,
sometimes your opposition defenders will close you down or tacle you if
you try to dribble down along the wing and slip through the opposition
wing defences, you just can feel the computer just wont let you win, its ridiculous.

Any thoughts and idea about those issues will be welcomed and appreciated, many thanks. I am on PS3.

LOOK FORWARD TO REPLYS FROM PES FANS

I play Top Player ML regularly and you can't run down the wing unopposed. You can on Professional, not Top Player. I have full backs shoving my players in the back and pulling their shirts when I run down the wing. If you can turn the full back you can steal a yard on him, but thats all.

Did you install the Konami's patch? It sounds you're playing PES 2011 right out of the box. Before the patch, you did not receive pressure when you were along the wing. After the patch, that was corrected.

I bought the game in last December, and i played on Top player level ever since, the first game i played on Top play level is against Spain, and i used Itally because i think they have world class defenders and
solid defence, in that game, just as sminky said above the opposition
defenders will shove my player or muscle him off and finally i lost
0:1, but i think after for a while, the game on Top player level gets easier slightly and i played against Spain again on this February again
i managed to use my player to dribble down along left wing without much challenge and finally got a 1:1 draw, i was pissed off cause i want to win the last world cup owner desperately and played the same
game again straight after that draw game using Itally, i won 1:0.

I played a lot of Master league games recently, more than 2/3 games i
used wing play and opposition defenders will follow my players down along wings but will not close my player down and snatch the ball away,
so i have some easy opportunities passing the ball to the middle and score a lot of heading goals. Unless you play with strong teams like Real
Madrid, Juventus or Barca, their defenders will mark my wing runners very tight but that did not occur as often as before when i played ML in
my first 2 seasons. Actually ML is still very entertaining, but scoring easily bored me sometimes.

Anyway, thank you very much for telling me your story about this, sminky.

just cant wait to get it and correct free dribbling along wings without being pressurized.

Thanks

I do not think and believe i am the only pes 2011 gamer who has this
dribble freely along the wings issue, that does not happen to every TOP
PLAYER LEVEL game i played, but it happens more often sometimes and less often sometimes, its random. Sometimes i play against weak teams
(fake teams in Division 2), they will give you hell, scripted through passes from the opposition half to the front of my goalie, bang..., 1:0,
that shit is unbearable and happens more often if you are 1 goal up.
In one ML game(i cant remember which season), on TOP PLAYER LEVEL
I won Barcelona 5:0, 4 headers 1 long ranger, Barcelona's messi and pique did not do shit, just watching me running around and scoring, that
is too far from realistic soccer game, tell me when was the last time Barcelona was beaten by a team and conceded 5 goals in real soccer
world, konami programmers need to study harder and properly to design
decent and realistic soccer SIM. Thats probably easy say than done, but pes gamers will love seeing some genuine improvements concentrated on realistic gameplay on the pitch, for example: quick and responsive switches between team mates to effectively defend through passes and cut off crucial 1 on 1 passes delivered by opposition midfielders. Also realistic computer AI reactions in different situations, its like when i am about to shoot from long range, the defenders just stand there and watch me until i put the ball into the net, close me down, fools, if you know my meaning. Wing play should be more difficult in next pes 2012, real footballers will fight for every inch on the pitch. There are mainly 4 attacking patterns in my opinion for pes games: 1, from both wings 2, through middle field(passing the ball around and seek scoring chances) 3, 45 degrees angle organized passes to the goal area(seldom used in PES games) 4, long ball delivered by players like pirlo, xavi, lampard.
All these attacking ways should be dealt and reacted by com AI reasonablely, rationally and realisticlly. By the time all these essential gameplay factors can be all achieved and applied in one PES GAME, pes gamers will not take their hands off that game. I will get very old when
that perfect PES game is released i reckon.

Nice exterior designs will be good for PES game, but what matters for me most is the realistic and rational gameplay, smart and reasonable
COM AI. The fun part for me is to score some fantastic goals after being challenged and recall nicely the proccess of organizing passes and
attacks to tear opposition defence apart.
As for other game related sideproduct like commentating, music, graphics etc.. they are much less important comparing with superb gameplay. As long as those things are presentable, not big bother for me.

By the way, abused overused through ball passes and shitty tranfers(like Messi going to R. Madrid) must be eliminated in next PES 2012.
If not, i will probably switch to FIFA 2012, you will not get paid for being
loyal to KONAMI and PES games, even i am a hardcore pes fan.

On TOP PLAYER LEVEL I would like to know are you tackled and shoved by your opposition defenders as you dribble forth and back along the wings near the bottom line? For me, in some games, opposition defenders will follow you around at wings but not closing you down and
take the ball off you, its like they give you opportunities to pass the ball from wings to the middle near the goal, so your CF can score, thats so false, because in real soccer world, your opposition will knock you over for ball possession.

If you get tackled and challenged at wings, what attacking ways do you
use to score goals?

thanks for the answers in advance if there are any.

have fun playing pes 2011

Hi Sminky,

how did you score your last goal in ML on TOP PLAYER LEVEL?
