No way shooting was better in pes 11.
As for dribbling.
Press L2 and move the right stick in some direction to perform the standard tricks, and press R2 to slow dribble.
The you have the L1 for link feints.

I never cried about the shooting. But it was way too inconsistent. At least in pes 12 demo, I know where I'll shoot. And yes I can shoot in both pes 12 demo and pes 11. And overall, I find that pes 12 has much more variety and the curled placed shots are better in pes 12 too.

be innovative if you are dribbling 1on 1 flick your right stick in directions to put defender of balance and run the opposit direction to the flick, also ive seen some nutmegs in the game (doesnt look like a glitchy accident it looked as if i did it on purpose) but for the life of me i dont kno how i pulled it off.

Shooting was pretty bad in 2011 and its a bit improved in 2012 but still has some issues.

- The ball is simply traveling WAY too slow
- Sometimes the player will shot the ball very poorly and in a very weird direction alltho has a good body position and no pressure, almost impossible to happen to a world class player

But overall its much better than 2011 just need a bit of fixing, the thing I like the most is that the ball curls TOWARDS the goal pretty much 90% of the time or more, in PES 2011 it curled away which is so unrealistic and rarely happens in real life, because players try to curl it towards the goal to give the keeper a bigger angle of save.

yes i find that the same, i sped my game up to +1 to avoid the sight of the slow ball moving through the air, i think konami need 2 tighten up keepers, as it seems to easy to score from distance, they make to many spills and also get rid of that horrid mid air save were the keeper is curled up (elbows not stretched) just looks pathetic especially when you/they score, keepers should be full stretch in them situations and that will make it look more realistic and rewarding thinking, " no would if of reached that as my keeper was full stretched, good shot by the AI" and vice versa comment.

Things like that are ridicilous indeed, but if they would at least be good I could overlook it, alltho its still quite ridicilous.

I found it easier to dribble with r1 and r2 to sprint and quick turns use r2

Same here, just a case of alternating from R1 to R2. I find it a bit unimaginative to be honest.

In fact I found Rooney would get locked into a bizarre animation where he ran sideways of the ball if I attempted to alternate the dribbling

not really when you think of it becoz i real life you will slow down and speed up to baffle a defender so R1 and R2 would be suitable even though its true about the unimaginative part konami should of re-mapped it into a more intruiging format, + i only make mad dribbles with the likes of pato, neymar and robinho as they have the right attributes to do so fantastically and when they do dribble they mirror their real life counterparts especially neymar, i think konami have drawn a big line this year on able players and not so able players in certain aspects e.g. power speed shooting and as in here dribbling, ive also tested the theory of all players can do the same skills and dribbling technique more than once and it is certainly not true, for instance i tried to see if dea gea could pull of a rainbow flick ( just checking as horribly in pes 2011 keepers could pull of such skill) but he didnt even get close and i payed the price not only the goal keeper more higher attibute outfielders aswell e.g. ganso who is a brilliant dribbler couldnt pull of the marseille turn as sharp as neymar so i think dribbling is more a less down to individuality.

You misunderstood my post. I wasn't referring to the physics of dribbling - I was pointing out that I don't like the feel of button mashing R1 to R2.

A HORRIBLE decision.... Seriously, bashing R2 and R1 is uncomfortable due to obvious reasons, can't believe how good Konami is at making fucked up decisions. Was it not possible to just do it by tapping the L1 button + giving the direction?

This sounds very similar to the idea of mapping strategies to the SELECT button.... yet another HORRIBLE decision. The only logical explanation that I can find, is that Konami knows that their video game is extremely dumb, and is intentionally designing uncomfortable and complicated control schemes in order to create the illusion of the game being more difficult than it actually is.

The 2011 dribbling system was not intuitive, bashing the select button + tapping the passing button is not intuitive, bashing the R1 button + the R2 button is obviously not intuitive; it's like Konami is consciously trying to make the EXECUTION as difficult as possible, yet the game remains stupid and dumb at its core regardless of how uncomfortable the controls are.

Quite. Doesn't really equate to the current situation though.

well i dont see any thing changing until next yr , i overall find dribbling perfect ( just my opinion) another thing not related to this quote, but many ppl r complaining defenders can dribble like messi and ronaldo, i suggest we w8 until we actually play as messi and ronaldo as i feel there will be a large difference, but dont count on it.
