The yearly faggot fest is upon us, the full reveal of the PS4 hardware and the first looks at the next generation of console gaming should prove interesting.

FYI here are the timings of the key conferences where the big news will be generated, most of these will be streamed online at the big outlets and official websites as well as on youtube and facebook.

Microsoft: Monday 5.30pm
EA: Monday 9pm
Ubisoft: Monday 11pm
Sony: Tuesday 2am
Nintendo: Tuesday 3pm

Whats everyone looking forward to?

The big deal for me and probably most of you guys will be the PS4 Hardware and OS reveals. Seeing as i'll probably be sticking with Sony this coming gen, I cant wait to see what they have up their sleeve.

Sorry, it probably would've been more accurate to say "Microsoft exclusive", rather than just xbox exclusive. I think it would still be on PC. Either way, it'd still piss off a lot of people.

I just can't understand why anyone would want to change from a smash hit multiformat title to a console exclusive. Microsoft will have had to pay a tonne of money if it is and would FO4 sell consoles? I loved 3 but i won't go MS just for 4.

XboxOne conference info being dropped by a well respected leaker:

1. Confirmed Microsoft is actively attempting to get developers to not mention PS4 versions. If they don't say "OUR GAME IS EXCLUSIVE FOR XBONE" expect a PS4 version. #truthfact

2. More DRM messaging at Gamescom. There is no rental strategy. Try to sweep it under the rug and hope people don't remember.

3. Cloud power was designed as DRM. Period. DRM was Microsoft's idea. EA and Ubisoft are supporters, Activision slightly less so.

4. DRM plans are actually worse than what they've stated.

5. Mirror's Edge 2 at MS conference.

6. Prince of Persia (reboot?) at MS conference.

7. Secret Phil Spencer game = World of Tanks

8. Live paywall still there.

9. Dead Rising 3, and exclusive DLC for another Capcom game at MS conference.

10. No online paywall for PS4. Unconfirmed.

11. No DRM info for PS4.

Whats worse is he's now talking about a heavily subsidised console release (so a smaller down payment with a contracted monthly payment for Xbox live gold for 24 months) but that at the end of the 24 months, if you don't re-subscribe you lose access to your games whether they were bought on disc or digitally!

The XboxOne sounds like a massive clustercfuck

Yes they do offer a subsidised contract, but this one would mean the console is useless if you don't renew, that isn't the same with the 360.

Xbox One needs to connect online at least once every 24hours or you can't plays games on it.:lol: But you'll still be able to watch TV and Blu-Rays.:cringe:
If Sony came out and said the used game policy is the same as on the PS3 and the online is free again it would result in PS2 like dominance again for the next gen era.
