Hey all, Ive been working on making some new national kits specifically South Africa, New Zealand and a few more but I was wondering what people used for dimensions when creating a PNG file in Photoshop or whatever software you use. I've been experimenting but I cant seem to find the right size, to fit the kits onto my PS3. Any helps appreciated. Thanks.

hi, as i was thinking something along the same lines --
how are they made. ie where does one get a png of a teams emblem and sponsor from. how come they are transparent, and are all the fiddly bits (for example wavy lines) drawn freehand or what??
many thanks for the info!

Mooseybaby tends to use 300 x 375 and his kits look great

Thanks, Mooseybaby's kits are really nice. Do you know the size for face scans, I cant seem to get mine right. It might just be that I am not getting the head size/ dimensions right, not the face size. But, thanks for the help.

Photoshop is what most people use, although photoshop is expensive it does have a lot of features. If you want a free software to make kits try GIMP. It is very good for beginners, although neither of these software are easy to learn. Google some tutorials to get a introduction then try working on some kits. Good luck.

use wikipedia for emblems and logos.
Search for a club, logo etc...

click on the big image displayed on the right hand side of the page, and it goes to the next page where the logo will have a transparent background.

save that as a png and bobs your uncle all done

quality! cheers, that makes life much easier. how about transparent logos for sponsors? and are the wavy lines (eg. on Bolton's kit - not the best example but only 1 i can think of off the top of my head) drawn freehand?
