To put an image in-game on PS3:

ok, heres what i did:

1) download emblems/kits and unzip/unrar them.
2) create a folder on a usb stick and put all the images (pngs) in this folder.
3) switch on your ps3 and goto the PHOTO menu.
4) scroll in the menu to your USB stick but dont press X, instead press Triangle this will display another menu, select the "Display All" option.
5) this displays the folders on your usb stick. Now select all the images and select "copy", this will copy all images to your ps3.
6) now load the game, go to the edit mode, select edit teams, select a team and then the emblem option.
7) in the emblem menu select custom, then create from scratch, then import. you will be able to select one of the images you copied to your ps3..

i was getting no help/interest there, hence coming here:)

anyway doenst matter, maybe we could all work together and produce an ps3 option file. Im not interested in changing any stats just the EPL/la liga kits.
i want to us the same file for the kits as the team logo, im a bit concerned about size and quality.

from these pics i gotta say the edit mode looks awesome!

theres one flaw with the one png file for four kits per team. although the badge stays the same, the sponser colour is different on different kits. the fly emirates on arsenals home shirt is white wheras on the GK kit its black (i think)

if you draw a logo/emblem does that use a slot when saved? suppose it does.

What i also want to know, is how high quality does these PNGs have to be? Like Resolution wise? And does it come out looikin too pixelated if its too small?

So if we want to put a sports brand in the shirt (Adidas, Nike, etc) we have to include it in the same image as sponsor right? Would be good if Carl can create a template for our own custom teams.

I want to know, also, how many teams we can edit with this option, since I read something about a maximum of 40 images imported…. thanks for the info!

A-"Yes mate you are correct. Same for the 40 images to import, although I hear thats different to the sponsor allowance. Again something we’ll answer when we get the game."

this is summit id like to know! as well as how id go about making the kits etc! I know it wud be in photoshop etc but how the shirt wud be layed on the saved png file?

guys if you look at post number 3, the screenshot details resolution, but im not aware you can enter that into the image size box in photoshop. im sure they mean canvas size here?!?!
I would thought it will be 72dpi, to keep size down. when i entered this size (on screenshot)into PS it came up 18 cm or so.

I tryed the arsenal shirt at work will not busy, im a graphic designer so got tools at home and work
-got pic of FLAT front arsenal shirt 72dpi
-croped square round 3 logos
-using magic wand cut selected all areas apart from sponsor, club badge and nike.inversed so logos selected (use mask to confrim q i think)
-create new layer (transparent bkg)
-pasted on new layer (only badges appear on squared bkg)
-delete bkg layer
-save for web png

ended up well under half a mb

i havent got a 360, but im sure someone can create the option file if i give them the kit pngs.
One thing, if anyone knows a good website for getting the colours of strips for all the unlicensed teams that will help me (socks shorts etc)

mate thats almost perfect, could of been a bit flatter (logo creased) but probaby still look okay.
if you then erase the red (arsenal case) so its transparent, out of the pic.then follow my instructions above, you have yourself a useably png file for the kits oin pes2009.:)

Also to make a point on the BANGA71 above saying about the different coloured sponsors, if you look thru those screenshots, there is colour adjustment, not unlike photoshop, within the pes editor, maybe for the same 1 png, you could change the colour, for the seperate shirts, not actually changing the png file itself.
Dam i hope th consoles have the same editor otherwise, this is for nothing, those screenshots are from the pc version me thinks!!:shocking:
