You clearly have no idea of what you are talking about. These days, thanks to the money injected by rich foreigners, football fans in England, particularly the top flight, are either familys looking for an afternoon outing, or middle class prats, who go to the game because they want to have a meeting with a potential business partner.
Yes in the late 60's, 70's and 80's there were problems with hooliganism, but that has largely stopped thanks to banning orders and policing. However, it seems that foreign countries such as Poland, Croatia, Italy and Greece now try and emulate English supporters of the past - wearing fake Stone Island, CP Company etc , singing "You'll Never Walk Alone" etc.
English support has changed, some of it for the better (hardly any hooliganism, modern stadiums) but a lot of it for the worse (the top 4, no atmosphere, fans being treated like animals, banning orders for throwing paper aeroplanes on the pitch and eventually that will work it's way into Europe.
And as you mention the 2002 World Cup, who did England beat 3-0 in the 2nd Round?
