Its not correct. They arent wiped - they aren't builded for the new game.
But Konami will give us DLCs with more than 1000 Preset Faces for free. But we must say them, which players.

Yeh but this is awful , they all in previous games had presets and now they dont , dlc , it takes ages and obstrucks peoples gaming pleasure , i think they focused on gameplay way to much this year , from the demo i really like it but there are a few issues but overall thumbs up best gameplay pes ever had , also edit mode i waited for years to customize whole kits finally i can this year , but then you get on to the dissapointments list bearing in mind this is 2013 not 1999;

faces not converted for new game
no weather conditions
no stadiums apart from basics
some faces are quick replicas no time involed
libertordores taken out of edit mode same as last year due to licenses
japan national team not licensed

im not going to name all there are so many , but for me i am a pes fan and always will be , fifa dont come close , but this year will not be the year konami tops ea more copies of fifa will be sold because the game gives you more and the dissapointments of what bin taken out of pes is quite astonashing.

very disappointing. always one step forward, two steps back with konami. unless the dlc of new faces is right after the release date, this is a serious problem

and its not just the italian league looks to me like it will cover whole game ,
for more teams faces check out the uploader of the videos there you will find spanish teams villarreal/at madrid/r madrid/barca/valencia, oh yeah and be prepeared to be very dissapointed .

Yes it is very sad, but what you have to understand is Preset faces like almost every other aspect of the game has had be made from scratch. The way Konami now make their presets is different to the previous games, this means no more carrying over Presets from previous games.

Obviously gameplay was their 1st concern, the faces will be built up again & as Eisuke said they plan to add 1000+ just through DLC this year.

also just this is something to think about ,
this year they have implemented a new engine and thats the reason for these disapointments , there still on the same consoles they have only changed the engine , just imagine what it will be like when they convert to ps4 and xbox one

i do understand to some extent but this is 2013 not 1999 like i said previous they have had a whole year and more in my opinion they havent done enough and most certainly havent worked hard enough , and im sorry but they have took things out that were already there , and gamplay they should of had sorted years ago.

yeh i can understand where you are coming from but hopefully u understand where i am too , weather they have taken things out or started from scratch still gives us the same result ; things are not there that should be , i for one will be buying the game and have pre-ordered already , but paul you said that the change of engine will help move it on to next gen without issues , i disagree , they have changed the engine due to next gen ,but the main factor is because the gameplay was terrible , this year with the fox engine it is far better than any other pes ever , but what im saying is buy fixing one issue ; gamplay , they have created umpteen others e.g weather systems , faces , licensise , stadiums , etc .
now they have lost all these elements or in your case not implemented them because of the engine , im sorry but i think next years change to next gen will generate more issues , because it has got to be a bigger job changing to a new console than changing the engine , so what will we lose out on then ,

and its always been the same never the complete game

Precisely this. People need to get the premise that PES14 is effectively a "next generation" game - albeit on a current gen machine.

Arggh@%^#%!!! Agger looks like a weirdo too. My only guess is they knew players like this are going to get a face patched in so they didn't even bother giving them a realistic formula. So they say they are asking for suggestions on who to give a preset too? I've got two suggestions for them...

1) This is something that should have been asked two months ago not when the game is about to launch

2) Just give us all the presets we had in 2013 plus some additional ones. Who the hell runs their PR dept :realmad:
