Halo 3's campaign mode.

Was very impressed when I first picked it up, but then felt a bit samey after a while, online mode is still awesome though.

Bioshock.

Got like 97/100 according to metacritic. Was fun for two hours and then got incredibly repetitive. Its the same old thing - find enemies, zap them with your 'powers', take money. Repeat.

I haven't played the game since.

PES2008 - Lend it from my friend and after a week got bored with it and stop playing it.

I'm probably being unfair on these games but...

Halo 3. Multi-player was great to begin with, but eventually the maps became too repetitive and shite. I've hardly touched single-player either.

Bioshock. Hardly played it so it's unfair to nominate it, but from the hour or so I've played of it, it's no GotY. I'll probably start it again in a few months tbh.

PES 2008. I play it quite a bit, but only with mates or my brother. It's the first time I've preferred the multi-player to the single-player in a PES game. I might go back to FIFA when I get it back.

Halo 3 because it received an incredible amount of hype yet their wasn't anything special and the multiplayer is average. Capture the Flag has been done for ages and I like to see a lot more variety.

Assassin's Creed. Again, the game received a lot of hype that this was a true "next gen" game. It was in some aspects but it was also a generation behind in other aspects as well as the game being repetitive after the first 2 or 3 assassinations. As soon as I got to the 6th, I just stopped doing all the side stuff because it was taking me like an hour to start an assassination because I would do a pointless eavesdrop when I could easily just assassinate my target after 2 or 3 objectives. Also, although not everyone got it but there was quite a few glitches in the game. Some really big and had an affect on the game.

Final Fantasy XII. Another overly hyped game that received some perfect scores (Including a 40/40 from Famitsu) and in my opinion, it failed miserably. It tried to blend turn-base strategy with real time and because you control a party - gave you a system that tells them what to do so you could literally set them up right, go to sleep/work/school etc and gain like 10/15 levels at the same time. The plot was also very disappointing as it was very dull.

PES2008 was an improvement on PES6, but yes, it was still disappointing.

I hate the new WWE game too.

And somehow it got game over the year over Call of Duty and Halo. It's crazy.

Fifa 08 on 360 is miles better than PES2008. I grew out of the PES series when I got my next-gen console. Used to love downloading option files and editing them on the PS2 but now the game is so poor on next-gen I don't even bother buying it and prefer Fifa's new engine.
