Having just seen Vorlander left unbeliavabley out of someone's master league side, who was your favourite default master league player.

Vote now! And if they're not there say who it was!!! Any classic moments for you?

Well you know, there are 3 classics in this one for me.

For starters;
- Vorlander... always the one who stays in my team the longest, really usefull, only one who may score a corner.
- Castello, fast striker, has the most yellow skills
- But Huylens is a Dutchman who always scores my goals at the beginning! He has an acceptabel shot and you can use that at the beginning. Usually he taps in Castello actions...

Minanda is also nice, he can do lobs and stuff... Further, everyone pretty much sucks. :D Espacially Ivarov, storm of mistakes...

For one, it's Vornander now ;). But that aside, he's probably my favourite. He can actually do a job for you and has ok stats for a defender. I also quite like Macco as he develops into an ok player and is welsh :D

I think castello is awful! For some reason, despite his stats, he seems to be awful and dribbling and incredibly slow. Vornander is a great player, infact, defensively i think the team is alright. Nachendal, Valeny (my fave), Vornander and Stremer are who i play, and i rarely let in goals.

Up front i usually have Njorgo and Barota, which Ximelez and Macco banging in balls to them.
Even in my third season i could score goals with Barota, i had to replace Saviola and he was my only striker availabe...he scored a brace :D

can someone tell me why did they change the names of that team from Pro Evo 1 To Pro Evo 2 for example
Vorlander- now Vornander
Miranda- now minanda
Njord- now Njorgo
Edington- now Edingson
Stromer- Stremer
its odd

i dunno, probably minanda since i put him at OMF and he runs the show
vorlanders the best in the back, but he leaves after 2-3 seasons and retires at like 40, harty usually retires with him too.

maccos nice down the wing as he develops into a decent winger
huylens is usually my top scorer for season one, minanda leads in assists
my second striker is usually whoever is on the best form other than huylens :)

Matt or Maccos or whatever his name is only has one mention? he's one of the few default ML players who's stats actually rise, mint on the right wing and the last player to go he stayed with me til the 3rd season

p.s. I added him to the poll ;)

Castello was the biggest let down for me this year, he used to be good - what a turd

I sell Minanda, Ceciu and whoever else I can get most money for at the beginning, that way I can get Tevez, Baumjohann and K. Schmeichel to start with.

Stremer has cak stats but became best rated player in first season, I play him as right back.

Here's my team to start with

..........K. Schmeichel

Stremer...Dulic...Vornander...Valeny

..............Cellini...Harty
Macco.............................Ximelez

........Baumjohann...Tevez

When I get a decent right winger, I move moacco in place of Harty, does really well

It defeats the whole meaning of the master league if you start with good players. the whole fun part is building your team from a shitty bunch of ageing players to a championship winning squad

depends on what you are doing with the team for that ML
sometimes you just try and build an all star team
or a young team
or no players over a certain cost, etc

sometimes i feel like if i build an all star team it makes the game too easy, so i set personal limits on who i can bring into the team

Ivarov hands down, he's a decent keeper by any standards and has always been the last one out for me. Harty was great in PES3, but isn't having quite the same effect this time around, don't know why. To me it seems harder to play with the default players in PES4 than it was in PES3, the defence just seems shot at times and it's impossible to stop the opponents attacks.

I miss Petipa, the growth player thingy was definately a great concept in PES3, kinda sad to have seen it go. Although I appreciate it that konami are trying to get as realistic with the game as possible, but I think that, besides the gameplay, it doesn't have to be spot on. I mean, when I want to manage a club accurately and realistically, I go for FM 2005. To me the managing part of PES should be more about fun than realism. (Not to an extent where it gets ridiculous or anything like that, but you probably get the drift...)

I always line up with:

----------------Ivarov-----------------

Valeny---Stremer----Dulic-----Edingson

--------------Celina-------------------

---Espimas--------------Ximeles-------

--------------Minanda-----------------

--------Castolo-----Barota-------------

However, the two strikers and the guy "in the hole" are the first players I get rid of, usually replaced with Fabregas, Farfan and Baumjohann.

I would say that my favourite player is Ximeles as he can actually control the ball and doesn't have the turning circle of an oil tanker.

Vornander is the best, however he isn't my favourite as he's a bit boring to be honest. I think Cellini is my favourite, the unsung hero, he's extremely dependable and I could run past a whole team with him. Once in PES3 the ball drops to him 30-35 yards out and bangs it on the volley drilling it through a crowd of defenders and past an ailing keeper in the 85th minute to win the final of Division 2 cup. What a player!

Any of the players that can turn with the ball at a speed of more than 0.0000035mph impresses me. Oh wait, that's none.

 No-ones has mentioned Kelsen? He was a great keeper for me when Valeny kept mucking up at the back (due to his slowness and lack of heading ability) and often produced amazing saves to keep me in the game. However, he did have the odd moment where he was stuck to the spot and couldn't move an inch left or right to save the ball :p .

BELIEVE
Macco without a doubt is the best. I play him in DMF and he works wonders. I'll try him on the wing next game.
Vornander is shit on this game - old and stats decrease. He is a shadow of the player he was and the only reason everone still thinks hes great is because hes living off his old reputation.

The beautiful game
Castello my only survior from the default players- he still playing for my team brilliant celebration.

Valeny - Such a solid, strong defender who seems to get pace from somewhere. Love him.

Matt/Macco - Quality winger.

Ximelez - Says he can only play SMF but slap him in OMF instead of that cack Minanda and ure away!
