to all the pro evo fans and the new comers to pro evo, i just wanted to give you my view of the first football game on the 360, and all i can say is rubbish.
Fifa 06 road to world cup for starters as a football game a new console which is far better equip to hold more info that they have let every football fan down,
Graphics
The game looks brilliant graphics make it look almost perfect except when you get close, i do believe there is still slow downs in the game probably due to the starting menus for everything where you get to play with 2 english players (i am in the uk) and the goalie where your i a darkish room, this is a nice feature but i would of rather that extra memory could of gone on more in game graphics, the players just look to shiny. the nets still look awful, other than that play far away and it looks like a real tv football match. 8/10 (due to the hype of the 360 this game could of been a whole lot better, the players are to shiny and it just looks cr*p, plus player liknesses aren't that good either, if you see it look at steven gerrard for an example how big of a nose does he have yes he look like him for a split second then bam nope and even joe cole doesnt look like himself, for the fact theres not that many teams they could of fixed it.)
Teams
Well what can i say maybe they were rushing but for the first football game and they don't even put the leagues in, yes this game is only intenational teams if you don't mind just playing the one tornament and thats all. one other thing in the road to the world i am not sure if its just me but i dont even seem to be able to pick brazil. 7/10 (Should Really of had all the teams in there but i understand deadlines.)
Music
Now this is one area EA seem to always get right top class music if its the sort of music you like. some big names have tracks on this game 10/10 (Can't really fault the music)
Features
Well there isn't much to start with anyway, you have your Friendlies, tornaments, road to world cup, then you have your training, the biggest features will be the loading screens where i stated earlier you pas a ball around with the england players and take shots at the goalie, isn't really worth it but adds a nice lil break while its loading. 4/10 (just isn't enough depth in it for someone whos used to the masters league.)
Gamplay
This is the bit you really wanna know i've read magazines, watched programs telling me this fifa is going to be the best fifa game ever and is really going to make an impact on pro evo saying that this one could knock pro off the top, o how wrong they were this game is typical fifa it isn't getting any better no matter what anyone says,
when the player gets the ball it sticks to there feet like glue its like theres a circule around them and no matter what way you go that ball just sticks to you.
The running they run like oap's (old age pensioners) doesnt seem to have that look where there really sprinting all ways seem to look like there giving half an effort.
Passing well theres good points and bad points to the passing they've seemed to have cracked the through balls i do addmit that you can do some amazing through balls, ou do guide where that frew ball is going to go either left or right or other the top, but due to thats all they have got right, the normal passes do seem to accuruate, or sometimes you wanna pass it further and it goes to the wrong player. crossing the ball isnt to bad at least you can run down the wing without anyone stopping you near enough and cross a decent ball but that also leads on to how easy headers and vollies are i mean you can cross and more times than not you can score easy enough.
Shooting well what can i say about the shooting the same as normal cr*p aslways seem never have anypower in the shot and i couldn't believe what i was seeing the other day but i won 5-1 with england and rooney and owen scored most of there goals with there left foot at an angle where you would normally think of them using there right as they are both right footed players, its like passing the ball into the back of the net.
One thing i do like about the game is the keeper saving the ball they do look like a real keeper with the movement and everything
3/10 the gameplay is the same as always well i haven't played a fifa game since 2003 and its got worse than that i believe due to i am a fan of pro evo and love it i also loved fifa2003 but this game is not for the pro evo fans, i ask you if you kno anyone whos got it and you haven't played it just have a few games and your'll understand the teams on the pitch run around like headless chickens
Overall Score 6/10 due to another poor effort from EA it is still an arcade style football game where if goals are what your after more than anything then this is the game for you and the rating i have gave it is due to the graphics of the pitch the ball and the stadium and players if far away there to glowey for me lol your'll understand if you see it. please make comments on this, and if you haven't played i do tell you now that pro evo is going to be utterly amazing on the new consoles.
