Loved it and hated it, but after all, loved it. I have played it all year long, edited the shit out of it until each tiny detail was perfect, could play for 8 hours straight, and battled in some classic matches with friends, the greatest of them all a few weeks ago:

FC Barcelona (me) - AC Milan (friend)
(match time: 10 mins)
After being 0-2 down, came back before half time 3-2, after 90 minutes final score 5-5, extra time 8-6.

We always played Barcelona vs. Milan for hours

PES6 is much better than PES5 and that's the most important thing. But they probably knew that when they were making PES5 so bad. Still nor really a new game so they shouldn't keep charging full price for it unless they actually add to the game - RATHER THAN TAKING THINGS OUT OF IT THAT WERE IN WE10. FFS.

PES 4 was magic, PES 5 confirmed that magic.
Best football game in the world; gameplay, edit mode, etc...

I hated just one thing: in master league veteran players could be bought by other teams -> realism was gone

Hope it can be "turn off" in PES 6.

It was definitely the most frustrating version. It even made me question my PES ability :( . I like to play attractive football, but the game doesn't seem to respond to my actions or thought process as fast as PES4, which led to many miss-placed passes :realmad: .

I know how to play PES5 where I could batter people consistently, but it involves a lot of ugly football. PES5 relyed heavily on speed, in my experience. Have quick players practically on the touchlines, and switch the play and make them run down the wings to cross or drag back. BORING!

Since it looks like PES6 ain't coming out on Xbox, I'll be getting it on the 360.

rigth on the money! i play on we9. and i agree 100% if your try to play great futbol, you rarely get a goal. but if you cheat and play ugly futbol they will reward you with goals. its like who ever outcheats the other person wins.

I know that you've played PES6 Zygalski, but are you sure that PES6 is better than PES5. I mean in terms of gameplay. In other words, do you think that PES6 is more realistic?

If PES6 is the same as WE10 with tweaked keepers then it will definitely be far better than 5. I disliked 5 intensely. I felt the AI cheated when it came to corners, was far too niggly and the players felt unresponsive.

PES6 has fixed this - if I lose a goal to an AI team, I can *usually* put it down to my own error - trying something fancy in my own half, passing when a boot up front is required.

Zygalski has a valid point in that Konami have taken things out of WE10.
No sock/short change? Baffling!

Thanks Nakamura, you've calmed me a little bit, because the most important features , at least to me, are the gameplay and the AI.

Here we come to an annoying part in PES6!!!! I do not know why they did do this but may be because this is not happened a lot in reality.

I've only played a few matches of PES6 on xbox360 and PS2 and straightaway it is easy to tell it is a much better and enjoyable game than PES5. Most of the matches have been multiplayer (2vs2 up to 4vs4) and these matches have been immensely more fun than PES5 or WE10.

The keepers are great. I will upload a video on Monday showing the Reading keeper making one of the most amazing saves you'll ever see in a game! And they don't make many blunders like in WE10, I don't think I have seen any major ones yet.

But in single player mode, it is also clear to see that something is wrong when your players do not do what you want or expect them to be able to and in most cases, this results in an advantage for the CPU team.

I disagree. If you watch enough football you'll notice that teams do very often swap their shorts and socks so that the colours (even if just in respect to dark or light) are very different to those of the opposition.

Certainly in WE10, and therefore most likely PES 6, in single player mode, good strikers will inexplicably blaze the ball over open goals even with the slightest press of square. It can be highly frustrating at times but using a controlled shot helps.

I'm awaiting Friday with great interest though.

Absolute Legend!!!
I would have to say my experience of PES5 is Success, but with some failiure in between.

Had some great matches when i came from behind to win... one that always sticks in my mind is - 1-0 down to Holland in the Semi Final of the International Cup, last ten mins score a piledriver right through the keepers legs goes ito extra time. Second period of extra time getting hammered all over, manage to get hold of the ball, blast it upfield to just anywhere to clear the danger, somehow the ball evades the defender takes another bounce and i hit the best strike i ever have on the volley straight into the middle of the goal, goal keeper just watching it - was an amazing feeling!!

Failiure's would have to be the niggly fouls and weaker teams sometimes beating me.

And another match like the one above but switched around - me as Real Madrid winning Barcelona 1-0, expected to win the match, i hardly ever lose once i go in front, anyway last min Barcelona score two to win - i could'nt belive it lol.

But thats what makes the Pro Evo series so great and i hope the PES6 is just like it!

After a year of PES5, I have to say that I think its the best game so far in the PES series, Before PES5 I was very much a 'R1' player, always going for speed rather that skill to beat a defender, since that tactic was near impossible in PES5, I had no option but to improve my passing game, and now my Master League team is no longer entirely based on pace as in previous PES games.

The thing I find most frustrating is the ludicrous fouls always given against you, but I hope this will be sorted in PES6.
