Just beat Chelsea in the Coummunity Shield, beat them 4 - 2 on pens :w00t

Crouch scored a indiviual effort in the 43rd, Kewell was carried off on the 8th minute. Then Bellamy came off injuried in the 64th minute, then Drogba got the equalizer in the 81st min. Then it went to pens. Garcia, Crouch, Kuyt and Gerrard all scored their pens, while Terry and Lampard scored for Chelsea and Robben and Boulahrouz missed.

Chelsea had 16 shots and 52% possession and I had 11 and 48% so I think it was a great win.

Bellamy got ruled out for 3 months with a torn hamstring aswell :crymore:

First game of the season is against Portsmouth at Anfield, then my CL 2nd leg game against Fenerbache after beating them 2 - 1 at Anfield.

You only get 700k with Valencia?

I wonder how much you could get off Chelsea for Villa, I wouldn't sell him for £40 million, but £90 odd would be tempting

Chelsea couldn't afford £64m for Kaka - the amount was accepted over my head by Berlusconi but at the time of payment, the deal collapsed.

When you first start the game, Villa is valued at 24m in his minimum free release clause, so I had to give him a new contract incase the likes of Chelsea did steal him. I wouldnt sell Villa to anyone, he is a goal machine in FM, same with Eto'o.

Tbh Villa was pretty average for me, Morientes was much better, it seemed like Villa wasted five chances for every one goal. I'd definitely sell him for 40m. In my Reading game Chelsea bought him for 46.5m despite his release clause still being 24m.

The injuries are pissing me off sooo much, can hardly win a game at the moment, got about 5 first team players out.

Gerrard
Sissoko
Bellamy
Modric
Garcia

Then Kewell and Vanden Borre aswell, it's annoying as!!!

But it's all apart of the game and I'm enjoying it lol

The injuries are fucking flooding in now:

Auerlio - Groin Strain - Week - 2 weeks
Gerrard - Fractured ribs - 4 weeks - month
Modric - Broken Foot - 4 months  It only kept Rooney out for two :ninja:
Bellamy - Torn Hamstring - 2 months

Bloody hell, 3 of them are first team players, going to end up having to play Diao soon

EDIT: Garcia just ruled out for 2 months with a broken toe

EDIT2: Gerrard got injuried again, on his first game back from injury  1 minute after he scored. Sprained his ankle this time, he's out for another month...great :crymore:

What have I done to derserve this?

What have I done to derserve this?

Happens to me like nothing normal aswell, and I barely have enough depth to cope with Vicente and Joaquin being the two most injured players I have, and they are the two best wingers playing in La Liga. Reguiero and Angulo are alright and play decent enough when needed, but now that Silva's back from injury I think my injurie problems on the wings have eased a little bit.

Canizares has the highest average rating, having kept Bayern out in the first leg of the knockout phase, he got a 10 which has him sitting at 7. 76, not bad ;)

How high is the workload of your training? I made some schedules in my Arsenal game and at any given time I'd have 7 first teamers injured, but I lowered the work load and I haven't had any major injury troubles for two seasons.

Original?

If you put high workload training schedules on players, they will get more injuries in the short term but if you put some emphasis on physical training they'll harden up in the long run. Also hire two or three good physios this will reduce the length of time they spend out injured.

Made a good little money-maker for cash-strapped clubs in pre-season; make a friendly cup and invite the world's best clubs. Offer all of these about 10k and they should accept the invitation. The cup usually generates around 2.3m so a 2m profit isn't bad. ;)

I've started my first serious game with Birmingham. Only had 1m but with offloading some big players (mainly Nafti, Forsell and Campbell) and my friendly cup I managed to have a good search in the transfer market. I signed Mcbride, Reyna and Guardiola for about 200k all together, all have been the first names on the team sheet apart from Reyna who's been playing poorly. Managed to get Skoko from Wigan for about 1.7m all together involving down payments and shizz. Also, bought a young kid called Kumi is only 17 so I put him out on loan, and an american centre-back who's only about 19 called Parkhurst who is actually keeping N'Gotty out of the side. Oh, and I bought Callumn Davidson for about 60k for back-up, who seems quality. So far I've won 2 games, drawn 1 and lost 1 but it's all going good so far with Mcbride and Cameron both my top scorers with 4.

That's why FM is so realistic ;)

You are right, my friend.

However, when both are fit, Valencia are very hard to stop, Ive now lightened the work load in training and it seems to be working nicely and theres less injuries. Joaquin is the best player in La Liga and has most assists, while Villa is top scorer with 19 in 20, and has even missed about 5 games ;)

Michael Parkhurst! Plays for New England Revolution, he's a sweeper type, an great positioner aswell, i think he's about 21 or 22 tho, im glad you took a chance on him, try out sharlie joseph or andy dorman too, they both usually turn into something special.

I'm coming 3rd in the Prem at the moment, 3 points behind Chelsea, mainly thanks to going undefeated for 9 games, but injuries started to kick in, going to lighten the worklord see what it does.

Sissoko and Gonzalez have been quality for me, Sissoko is averaging around 7.27 at the moment but is a rock, while Gonzalez has the most assists in the league, pretty happy with the way me season is going.

Coming 2nd in my CL group behind Roma, my results were: Roma (H) 1-1, Kobenhavn (A) 0 - 1, CSKA (H) 0 - 0, CSKA (A) 1 - 0

So I'm on 5 points at the moment, playing Kobenhavn at Anfield then Roma away. The CL group looks like this:

Roma
Liverpool
CSKA
Kobenhavn

McBride is awesome in the Championship, David Murphy from Hib's is a bargain left back for The Championship as well

EDIT
(If you've got Stephen Crainey in your team then you'll know why you need a decent left back)
