...but it's your fault!:shocking:

Because of the delay with the North American release of PES 2009 I was forced to purchase FIFA 09.:shocking:

I was patiently awaiting the end of October to get my hands on the North American release of PES 2009 and never gave FIFA 09 a second thought until the release date was changed to November 11.:crymore:

I needed a football fix, so went out and bought FIFA 09. It's by far the best FIFA to date, but I really, really wanted to buy Pes 2009 at the end of October.:crymore:

I would never have wasted the money on FIFA 09 had EB Games not advertised the wrong release date, which I can't help but blame Konami for.

I have given your competitor my money toward their next release and I wonder how many other North American PES fans have done the same?:ninja:

The release of PES 2009 in North America is very close and I can't wait to get my hands on it.:w00t I just regret giving my money to EA.:realmad:

Take the game back...

Or you could have just rented it until PES came out.

You shouldn't be asking Seabass for forgiveness, The fact is that which ever game comes out first will get a boost in sales as some people may only be able to buy one & will go with the one which is first available.

What's wrong with buying FIFA? I bought I like it and I'm going to buy PES 2009 also. Nothing wrong with having 2 great games man. If you regret it why didn't you just rent FIFA 09 and you wouldn't be here crying about it.Pointless.

How have u sinned?

Does FIFA have a train wreck of an online system?

Has FIFA's core game engine essentially stood still for the past 8 years?

Does FIFA's AI behave like a fruit machine in deciding who is gonna win n lose very often making the contest a charade and a mockery?

Can FIFA be most easily won by relentless dribbling?

U aint sinned. U have just purchased the most polished and comprehensive video soccer package around. Enjoy it dude.

Totally. As a package you get so much more. I mean cos of the millions of things you do in fifa that surely makes up for the 0.1% deduction in gameplay. If fifa had half the modes and extras it had it would still marginally win so with all that it wipes pes off the map. Its an offline game and an online game where imo Pes is just offline and online in theory.

Each year fifa has been catching pes up and now finally they edged infront and there is no way in gods earth pes is ever gonna haul them back now. Now they've got the lead pes would actually have to do more than fifa to become the better game and actually develop a package instead of AI result chosen gameplay. Pes is like a car thats on the verge of a write-off. Its needs an overhaul of titanic proportians. Imo i'd settle for slightly worse gameplay in fifa and have an indepth online mode with clubs, leagues and a good connection along with all the offline stuff and manager mode than have pes's slightly better gameplay, repetitive ML, dull BAL and diabolical, shameful, discraceful online mode.

i don't respect fifa at all because they've basically sent out a massive " FUCK YOU " to the PC Community. They put no effort into the PC version and that is just pathetic imo

PES for the win !

Don't take my post so literaly. I'm only joking about blaming Seabass. I was a bit upset when the release date was changed so close to the original date, but that's life. My point is that Konami need to get their act together when it comes to promoting PES in North America. They need to work hard at releasing PES before or on the same day as FIFA is released or they will always lag behind with North American sales.

FIFA 09 is a good game, but I much prefer the PES 2009 demo so roll on November 11th.

No -- Fifa is an ONLINE game while PES is an OFFLINE game. What mode is fun in FIFA offline? The manager mode is terrible, the be a pro is boring unless you are playing ( hence ) ONLINE.

Pes has Champions League offline, BAL, ML, and numerous cups. And its the most fun with freinds.

Me and my freinds have given FIFA a chance I promise. And while we said it was OK it all came back to the gameplay. ITS DULL and REPEPETETIVE. No player has personality. Whats the difference between ROBBIE KEANE and BERBATOV? there aint one in FIFA.

PES just sucks online I guess oh well. I play mostly with freinds or MASTER LEAGUE.

Both are good games. I have pes 09 for the 360 and it's the best pes ever. I really like this one.

I own the 360 version and like I said, it's the best FIFA to date. In terms of gameplay though, I get bored of FIFA very quickly and FIFA 09 is no exception. FIFA is a good online game - a beer and pretzel game - IMHO.

to be honest, I;ve not played fifa 09, but in all honesty Im starting to think pes 09 is a shambles.

If I switch to FIFA, the only thing that would worry me is the lack of a good edit mode as in pes.

Yeah.

But only I would have said that FIFA 08 was better than PES 08 in all aspects whilst this year, I believe ProEv is marginally in front of FIFA in terms of core gameplay even though FIFA's engine is way more sophisticated than ProEvo's 8 directional-must-keep-ball-on-floor-at-all-times-or-probably-lose-possession game engine.

I think what ProEv gets right in addition to the crisper responsiveness and the higher tempo of gameplay is the ball physics which gives the feeling of endless spectrums of possibility in the game, especially when in front of goal. FIFA on the otherhand is amazing in midfield with its 16 directions, fantastic player animations, and most importantly, the control functions to actually fight and tussle for 50/50 balls. In midfield, FIFA looks and plays as close to a real game of footie as video soccer games have ever seen. In front of goal however, it all becomes very watered down from what I have seen. My mate who swears by FIFA says that I just have'nt played FIFA enough but I reckon I have seen enough of the game to clock the very repetative 'scenarios' that FIFAs AI springs on the game to allow goals to be scored. The FIFA-esque 'Oh noes, all of a sudden out of knowhere he is one on one with the keeper (AGAIN), is even more depressing than Messi dribbling right through ur whole defence on PES'.

But like u said, in every other aspect FIFA is miles in front of ProEvo and u just feel that there is not enough fresh ideas or fuel at Konami to change this. The fact that for the 2nd year running, thier online mode is such an epic fail makes u wonder what the hell they have been investing their millions of profit from the series on.

Although I prefer the gameplay of PES 09, If I owned an 360, I would be a FIFA gamer right now for reasons of online play alone.
