having red many of the posts compering the x360 with the ps2 (what?) i have to say that some people are either blind or verry verry big sony fanboys. Honestly you cannot compare the graphics of the 360 version with ps2. player models are way better and especially well known players are light years ahead..i have played the ps2 european version and a 360 demo and the animation and fluidity of the game are far ahead on the 360 a comment made even from the die hard ps2 supporters. if you doubt the graphicall quality please check the FULLY3D ANIMATED CROWDS in comparison to the 2DPAPERCROWDS of the ps2. look seabass was clear that he would not re-write a complete nextgen engine(and that makes sence cos you dont want to be far far ahead of the ps3) but has made the 360 version with verry much affection and gone down pathways the ps2 CANNOT follow. i have a 360 ans ps2 so i am at liberty to express opinion. i wonder how many here have both machines and have playd both versions??. As far as claims that ps3 has better graphics than xbox360 the answer is this: both machines have SUCH a big amount of technology were no no developer is in position to harnest it...the limit is already so hy that the ps3 having the edge it makes not differance

this is also from another thread but is an awesome comparison from ps2 to xbox 360.
This video is of pes6 on xbox 360 and a game between france and italy. WHile the new graphics are not that obvious straight away, once u see a close up replay then theres a big difference. The player models and faces look alot...crisper and although abit shiny look great. In the second half the player pauses this game and goes to replay and zooms in close on some of the players faces and thierry henry and zidedine zidane look lifelike to me. Impressive. Anyway, have a look for yourself, u might totally disagree.

x360 pes

the demo was a month ago and it was a presentation of the company that brings konami games or from konami itself not sure on that... it was a core demo with just some teams to pick and it wasnt even complete. since then there have been lots of demo presentations on pes360 in many countrys including england. one thing people dont understand in 360 is that like in many games the differances are not apparent in gameplay. but when you go near the players and especially when u have an lcd tv with hd you see amazing details like cloth details on clothes rather than the muddy polygons of ps2. you see skin details like skin imperfections. things like that are not always apparent on photos because they are always low res compares to how the game is when you actually play it in HDtv. plus i have seen that many of the photos posted here are from that verry core demo witch was an august version of the game and it has come a long way since then...i cant believe that people are actually go in the process to compare ps2 and 360 and plus i cant respect the opinion of someone ho doesnt have a 360 and HASNT yest even playd the game

I gonna be fair, and say that the screen shots of the 360 look awful. To plasticy and poor. PS2 any day.

Trust me its exactly like that, its the main reason why I will be buying a ps2 version.

ALso dragonfly you are correct teh player likeness on the 360 version looks poor.

Trust me, people buying the 360 version for better graphics will be disspointed, I am honestly saying that it that the players models have not be done properly on the 360, if you have any idea how the first fifa game for 360 came out, with lots of shiny plasticky models, belive it now you will not be happy with the 360 version.

First off you cannot have an opinion that has any kind of stature on a game that a)IS NOT THE FINAL VERSION b) you havent playd it and c) you compare it with the ps2 for god sake......the question of this topic here is not wether or not this game is a TRUE NEXT GEN game. if that were the question then the answer is probably not.. its somwere between. but the question here is wether the game is better looking on the ps2 than the 360...this is such an insane claim by nature that even though i have to say that im not into pro evo for graphics,i have to say that being biast toward the 360 and having a clear fanboysm toward the ps2 it makes me want to protest. first off those ho SEE the game in screenshots and call it shiny have to know that this is a HDTV effect that for some reason in lowres photos does look a bit peculiar..having playd the game on 360 it doesnt look shiny and plastick...these are silly claims. secondly those photos posted here are from an early version of the game were it wasnt complete..if you go to playscope.com and see more photos u will see that this is not the case. im not gonna even go into the conversation if player lickneses looks better on ps2than 360 cos that is a clear FANBOY statement comparing the 360 with the ps2..in 360 the players cloths look like actuall clothes with cloth detail rather than muddy clothes like look they have melted onto the players. lets get away from issues that have no real essence and go to issues like the 360 controller isn really cut out for this game...thats more of a concerne to me when i buy the 360 game but like everything you get used...lets stop attacking the 360 pes sony fanboys...pro evo is the same lovely game either on ps2 or ps3 or 360...

I think people get confused between shinyness and HDR technology. With HDR, when bright light its a surface (even skin), it can desaturate the colour and make it appear white. This perhaps does give the impression of 'shinyness' but if you were to see the effect in motion along with the self-casting shadows of the player models, it actually looks quite natural.

Take this example.



If you look at Adriano's left forearm and forehead, it looks shiny. That's because he's sweating and the light has desaturated the colour of skin. The HDR effects seen in next-gen games does exactly that.

yer true very true, im just fed up of ppl saying this will be crap no bundesliga no edit mode etc can you tell me that you ever played the german league day in day out? ok yer i was disapointed no edit, but dont be ungreatful it will offer awsome gameplay with added stuff in the form of experience. if your not happy then dont buy it! simple

YES...FINALLY SOMEONE PUTS SOME SENSE ON THE ENTIRE SHINNY STUPID COMMENTS.....thnak god that someone could tecnhically explain why photos have that shinny effect...just like i said in a most its an HDTV effect that can only be aprecciated when a game is in motion and you are playing it and it actually is an amazingly realistic effect..its exactly the same with the NBA2K6 player models...unfortunantly though there is an unjust sad war against the 360 b\with peolpe coming up with every pitifull excuse they can find....

These screenshots look amazin...like i said most screenshots are EARLY version of the game and they are from a version not at all complete..these 2 shots look amazing and they show clear differance with others posted(just look at the chech republic-france photos posted here) compare them with these two and voila...they speak.look like i have said before seabass has been developing this game on 360 over a year, more even than the ps2 or every other version. so there never was a worry on the games quality. its not a last minute port...these screenshots show off what nextgen is and they are a testament of the gap between current and nextgen. just look at the fully 3d animated crowds for god sake..they are amazing.

I'm glad people appreciated my point. Sure, I will admit PES6's graphics aren't completely next-gen but as I noticed today with Hitman: Blood Money, those aren't either but it doesn't detract from how great the game is.

i've got an idea... its gonna sound really stupid......
..... why doesnt everyone just wait until the game comes out before comparing graphics!
comparing fifa on ps2 to pes on 360 with out even seeing it first hand is confusing to me.
the only thing that fifa really has over pes on the ps2 is season. master league is nothing compared to fifa's season. theres a discussion point right there
