I would say it's best to let an expert do the job properly. A PS2 is not something you should mess about with if you don't know what you're doing. But if you're good at soldering, it's up to you.

I got DVDscan2 to work perfectly. I just followed the instructions given above.

Corrupt files in your DVD or in your DVDscan program?

i also have a problem with running the dvdscan2 (probably the same as the other guys). when you double click on the icon it comes up "Failed to load 'CommonDialogue' from comdlg32.ocx. May be outdated......etc.". Am i using it wrongly as ive never used it before? also, i had a problem with step 6), as i couldnt find iso . can i go about this in another way? One more thing, in step 17) where it says "locate the pes3cdretail patch" is that any patch which you have downloaded for PES3? apologies if it sounds stupid but im poo at patching. thanks.

This guide is for ripping the original PES3 DVD - the one you can buy.

Yes, the "locate the patch..." bit means any patch you want to apply.

Remember:

Once you rip the DVD, you have one ripped version of it. So make sure you label this one as your original rip version. Make a copy of this to apply patches onto. You cannot keep applying different patches to the same image/rip. Once you've burned one patch and are finished with it, you should delete that patched image and then make a new copy of the original to patch this new one and so on.

I'm a total newbie to this kind of stuff, and someone might have already asked this, but is there any risk of screwing up my original copy of the game? And where can I find the patches that Zygalski posted on the Neoseeker boards?
