Hey guys,

Im very interested in patching and having the right kits and all, however.......

As I do not have a PC (I use school's to view these boards) and really can't afford to buy one, is there any way of getting a CD patched for me by someone else (buying it from someone) and using it?

If this is possible i will get me ps2 chipped asap.

ok, i have finally managed to find a version of Isobuster 1.4, but the little red ISO button still isnt appearing. does it have to be a proper DVD and not a copy? also is it possible to use the DATA_F.AVS DATA_S.AVS and DATA_G.AVS files that are provided with ripping kits u can download?

It´s a guide for the original version of the game, dunno if this works with a downloaded DVD copy. You should use the data_e.afs

I'm currently stuck on step 17-

17)open ppfomatic locate the 'patchablePES3cdrip.bin' in folder 'newpatchablebin', locate the pes3cdretail patch (you have downloaded).Click patch.

I have as suggested opened the ppfomatic program and sucessfully located the 'patchablePES3cdrip.bin file, however I cant find the pes3cdretail patch ppf.


and anyways I thought I dealt with this file in step 8 when I extracted it to the 'patched dvdrip PES3'folder

HELP


What is the (FIXED ripkit-TRS_-_Pro_Evolution_Soccer_3_(PAL)_PS2.rar) used for, should I be using this, should I extract that?

The "pes3cdretail patch .ppf" is just any patch for the PES3 retail version. It's telling you that this is where you apply any patch you have downloaded such as a jonboyo one or whatever.

I don't see the "FIXED ripkit-TRS_-_Pro_Evolution_Soccer_3_(PAL)_ PS2.rar" mentioned in the ripping guide. Which step? If it's not in the guide, don't worry about it.

I have managed to patch the PES3, one problem is to record to disc. Do i record I the final .bin file or .bin and .cue. Also the files size is 704mb while the the maximum cd size is 700MB my cd burning program wouldnt start if it is overrun. Using adaptec softeware. whats the solution?

My final ripped PES3 .bin file was 721MB. When you want to burn an image, you just select the .cue (which tells the burner to burn the .bin) and it should do it fine.

When burning images, it's possible to burn up to about 800MB onto a 700MB CDR so don't worry about the size of the bin file.

If you mean you can't find the 'Save As' option, then try getting version 1.02.1 of CDMage as this one does have the 'Save As' option.

About cd recording, I have been trying to record the .cue file using adaptec, the result is a cd containning the .cue file as a data file, the software didnt record it as an image file, i.e. didnt burn the whole patched pes3. Do I have to have Nero to do a successful recording. Did anyone use Adaptec to burn the cd. If not, where can i get a Nero that works with Windows98 2nd ed.

Programs you can use for burning:

Nero,
CDRWin or
Alcohol120%

Maybe you're burning it as a data file instead of as an image. If you use Nero, there is an option to burn an image in the Wizard or in 'Nero Express' (depending on which version you are using.

I tried the tutorial, I ended up having SOCCER3.ISO about 623,000,000 bytes instead of 643,690,496. I burnt it onto a CD-R and it loaded "PlayStation®2" but then there was nothing after that. You could sort of hear it loading but nothing loaded. Something I missed? Did I do something wrong?

right, ive finally got an original version of Pro Evo 3 and IsoBuster 1.4, but still there is no red ISO button coming up on the left hand side only a yellow UDF. anyone had the same problem or got any advice on what i should do? is it vitally important to extract from the red ISO button or should i just press "extract to...." from track 1?

You have to extract the contents of the iso, I don´t know if this is possible with "extract from track 1", but just try it, maybe it will work.
