I have a real problem trying to get the patch to work and would appreciate some help

When i put the disc in the swap magic it says it is not a play station 2 disc.

I'm using dvd-r.

Any suggestions

Need more information. Can everyone from now on please state what method they use to play imported/patched games (chip, swap magic etc), whether or not the original game works, whether or not you followed the guide exactly, and which patch you applied. Thanks.

yeah original game works fine, followed the guide exactly using swap magic 3.6 fliptop and it does not read the disc I used the fernando patch

I patched the game and it works wonders i think, i didnt play it without the patch so idk the diff. but everything seems to be in english except for the guys talking during the game, that is chinese. I downloaded the PAL one and converted it to NTSC and the screen is somewhat off. not bad cuz im still able to play it but wanted to see if there was a fix for it. Thanks for all this info and patches.

is there any way that the ISO image can be uploaded? so that all I have to do is put them on the ppf-o-matic3

or, is that considered as illegal?

Zygalski, thanks for the guide, i have followed it in detail, I seem to get to files, a win rar 4gb file and a 5kb MDS file, I have burned both on seperate dics and used Swap Magic 3 but it says (not a play station 2 disc) now the clean ISO is on the same brand of disc as the one I have used to burn the patches and that works fine, what is going wrong?

Yes that is warez = illegal. Why can't you just rip it from the disk?

You don't need to do anything with the .mds file. Just patch the iso and burn the iso. Did the guide say to burn the mds onto a disk? No. What program did you use to burn them both?

The game is in NTSC as default. Maybe you mean the other way around?

I have the PAL version, but i converted it to NTSC (I'm in USA) and the screen is off, i was able to bring it down some with the setting in the game. Can you point me into the right direction for the lastest stuff for this game? like patches and option files? Thanks

The File Downloads section of the forum contains both patches and option files.

And I still don't understand what version of WE10 is PAL. It is a Japanese game = NTSC.

The 1st time I used Alcohol 120, then the Dvd Decrypter bot at the lowest speeds. Also when I put the clean ISO on my hard disk it shows up as a rar file could this be the problem, and if so what should I do?

It's not a problem Disqo. Winrar can extract the files from the iso, so if you have bot installed any other programs that automaticaly opens .iso files, after installing winrar, the iso files will show as winrar files.

And Zyglaski, could you not add a way to test the patched isos before burning? I personally use PCSX emulator to see if it boots or not. The program isn't finished yet, so if the iso works, you will after a couple of seconds see some colors and hear some sound effects, and if not, then it will tell u insert ps2 disc (or go directly to bios, cant really remember). This might maybe help people who don't want to waste their precious DVDs. Or maybe you have another way to do it.

Zyg, are you an expert when patching using DKZ method?

if you are, i have a question.

I downloaded the KM Mix patch off evo-web and I noticed that he has 3 parts to download. So, should I extract the 3 parts into one folder?

A guide to using WinRAR can be seen here. You just need to open the first part with WinRAR and all 3 parts will extract together to give you the file(s) you need.

i wanna burn using nero and i don't know which one i should use. is it nero express or nero burning rom?

I'd recommend burning with dvd decrypter, as the guide mentions. Before you burn reset your PC.

If you want to use Nero, you go to Nero Express and then select 'Disc image or saved project' and then select the ISO file, select the slowest speed your DVD-R can burn on.

Thanks guys, I have managed to get the game to work, i was burning it all wrong, I use Alcohol 120, it works a charm

Cool. Remember you need to delete your image and start again if you want to use a different patch.
