When FIFA 10 came out and I could get it for £26 on PS3 I couldn't resist and went to get it......It is the first time I have ever bought a FIFA game, since I have had a go at old versions of FIFA and really didn't like it.

I played ISS on the megadrive and loved it, getting future versions on the ps and ps2 (pro evo 5 +6) and I loved the games, many many hours played on these football games.

I played on the last pes and mixed thoughts about it really, and was prepared to be open minded about pes 2010, even preordering it from way back.

But after playing FIFA 10, I decided I would cancel the preorder because I feel I will only be playing FIFA 10 this year. Just everything about it feels polished and well thought out, in terms of modes and ESPECIALLY the online play the game has to offer.
Of course no game is perfect, I'm not saying it is, but it terms of it's competition (ie. PES10), I think it will undoubtedly be the better game.
I have played the demo...no not the WE one but the pes one, wasn't at all impressed tbh, but won't really know until the full game comes out.

FIFA has moved on from the poor offerings that I played 5-8 years ago, its time people become open minded about games they play because all these die hard 1 brand players are missing out.

^Do what you want but its not fair to pes. Give Pes 10 a try and then decide.
The we 10 demo is just an updated version of pes. So imagine if the final product is an updated version over the WE 10 demo. It would be better for sure.
So I suggest you give pes 10 a try because it's simply not fair to compare a finished game to a demo.

Just by Fifa! It's really that simple, you don't have to moan and cringe about it, Konami has enough hardcore fans under their belts.

Is it fair to judge a game before its been fully released? Its harsh to say that FIFA is better when the finished product is out, whilst its still two and half weeks until PES comes out. Make your judgement on the games when they are both out, if you prefer FIFA then fine, if you prefer PES fine, if you like both fine, but to prejudge a game based upon a demo is folly

Lets see how long fifa lasts, its doing my head in right now because my defending is fucking shit, plus the CPU cheats, (trust me it does) but there is something about it which keeps me going back for the time being, like i said, it does have some wow moments.

Technically I would be shocked if PES 2010 was better.

is it me or are you becoming less biased towards fifa? Anyway, i missed the deals for ASDA, tesco, etc so im trying to get it from amazon

I love the way people get all shirty and defend a game like it was a real person...who gives a flying toss if someone buys FIFA over PES...I myself will buy none of them but wait until my friends buy them hahahaha...then I can play both games and decide which one (If any) I will eventually purchase. Just stop all the die hard defending of games when if truth be told, FIFA 09 and PES 2009 were pants, simple as. Its this defend a game to the death attitude that makes these developers lazy, because they will simply churn out update after update if they think you dumb bunch of sheep will keep buying them year after year, and also defend these crap games for some reason I cant get my head around.

I know what you mean, and your kinda right. But there are a quite a few people on pes forums like this, (and fifa i presume) who don't always defend the product and put forward their views constructively.

But then there are so many people from the looks of things that JUST come on these pes forums to just diss it, and tell people who like the game that they are idiots. I might be wrong, but i assume its just a bunch of fifa fan boys with chips on their soldiers and problems. These are the people who are annoying.

I know, but why does that bother people...I really find it funny why people feel the need to defend a product that they have no involvement in...apart from blindly buying it every year...just picture Seabass in his Penthouse apartment, counting the stacks of cash that he has made from the last few years of poor games (PES 6 being the last good one) while people on these forums defend PES. Same goes for FIFA fans...most FIFA games are crap and you really think EA gives a shite?...not while they consistantly top the game charts....funny stuff on these boards.

did you ever think that maybe you built the game up too much in your head, and that maybe it wasnt that good in the first place?

ive been playing for 2 days now and cant understand the reviews this game is getting it has some great and innovative features that i wish pes could have but as far as gameplay goes i would give it 7/10 . i think the we demo is much better, and its only a demo.

Nah, EA just fucked up by not checking it enough before release, i dont believe the core gameplay in PES 2010 is going to be better, you cant skill dribble, hold up the ball and hold off the man behind you, no jockeying, less animations, CPU automated controls....only way i would play that game seriously is for the master league, and thats if fifa's MM AI continues to piss me off.

I mean, ill prolly buy it for a try but lets not start overdoing it lol.

Someone yearns for something Fifa-ish :happy: Let's be completely honest though, I'm betting sooo many gamers would jump the boat if Fifa 10-11 next gen would come to pc.

I thought the finished pes 2010 will be the same as the we demo.
