I lost a victory in a ML play-off to a last second equaliser.

The final whistle blew immediately on the restart and Peter Brackley announced my team, Parma had one the match.

Sadly, the score said otherwise. I suppose the COM controlled Peter Brackley got a bit carried away.

Do U think it's odd that after a last-min goal, the players have to line-up at their starting places to hear the whistle blow?

Not odd really, that tends to be the way it goes. Goals are disproportiately likely in the last minutes of both halves of a game, and refs do often blow the final whistle immediately upon a re-start.

I think the COM is programmed to allow attacks to continue during stoppage time until either:

i) the ball goes out of play for a goal-kick, corner or throw.
or
ii) the defending team clear the ball from the last third of the pitch.

I think an old English ref, Geoff Thomas disallowed a last second goal in the 1974 World Cup because he blew for time just before it crossed the line. I don't think any referees these days are going to do the same again.

But if U really score a very very very very late goal, then line back up, the opps would just touch the ball then hear the final whistle.
