After a long 8 yr career on BAL i've decided that it is the worst, i get a 7.5/8.0 nearly every game for barca after being at hull, west ham, newcastle, everton, spurs, chelsea and england. Yet Barca who i went to because they were number 1 in the world are 17th 3/4 of way through the league, whats the point? I play really well and as i said have either been MoM or MIP in every game bar one this season, yet the AI consistently does abysmal things, I've come to realise that if you play in a side that do not play 442 you can not win games consistently, there is no form either, won every champs league match but get battered 4-1 at home by Getafe. I have given pro long enough now, it's ebay for my ps3 as i dont play anything else. FIFA is equally as garbage, konami need hanging.

4 for kicking
4 for balance

In this and other threads relating to BAL, people have mentioned that it is possible to attain special abilities for your player. How do you go about it??? By the way I'm a striker, 22, very fast indeed. Just won the double with Barca so moved to Inter for a new challenge. European success still elludes me though. My teams always let in soft goals against weak opposition.

i don't know whether its a luck or it is just a simple matter to you guys... but i play the first season on BAL with Wigan and my team got 5th place on premier league.. on my 2nd season i'm still with wigan and i got into the champions league, but that season my team finished 13th in premier league, and i play 56 matches alone in that season because of the champions league... But on my 3rd season Manchester United invited me to play for them, and now, i'm enjoying a long winning streak and never lose a game since i started on the bench for the Manchester United... btw - my difficulty is default, not diffucult or not easy...

You can't change your ability its dependent on what position you choose, the level of jump and header you start off with are also dependent on your position (height? weight? not sure) but obviously you can improve them.

I'm a CMF/SMF/AMF, got two special abilities. Centre and Playmaking. I believe you receive special abilities when you pass a certain point in specific areas you have strengthened. For instance playmaking, passing. Centre could be down to the same thing but I'm not sure.
This mode can be very frustrating at times because of how unintelligant the players can be all of a sudden. They go from making great one touch passes to getting tackled in the back when they had hours of time to make an easy pass.
Anyone played this mode with low transfer frequency. Because I have and have yet to see a top side come in for a transfer and through 3 years of play only one team from a different league has tried to sign me. I think it is more realistic with the ability to move up as Chelsea, Barca or Milan doesn't come after you at the age of 18 because your stats are still shit.

im in the 2010/11 season play in cm or am for man utd spent 2 seasons at sunderland then half a season with man city sumtimes they put me up front got called up to england on second season nd won the world cup with them scored two international goals nd two assists scored bout 15 goals for club nd 5 assists my average rating is around 7.00

How do you know that for sure? And did you do low frequency on top player?
Either it seems people are playing it on easy racking up goals and then getting transfered to good teams or they have transfer frequency on high or moderate.

I'm in my 2nd season right now, I played for man city and after several games without starting a game i moved to newcastle and did a really good 15 games started about 10 of them. but 4-3-3 didn't fit my position (AM) so after the 1st season I moved to Spain (almeria) and still playing there.

I am in the middle of the second season. First season I made 2 points in each ability. I am playing the hardest difficulty and I am still struggling with the camera. I'm in R.C.D. Mallorca and we managed to win the cup last season and I ended up being the top scorer on the cup beating Bacelona on the final and me making the only goal of the game (lucky one too). I managed to be MVP on 5 or so games.
The only regrets that I have is that Paris Saint Germain wanted to make a contract with me on Christmas negociations , but I was happy with Mallorca at that moment and didn't want to leave, after the first season ended I realized that Paris Saint Germain was a good transfer since they where on top of the French league.
I'm playing on PS2 so I don't have strengthen points (or I'm unable to find them on my Player Info menu). Oh, and another thing is that after the game, I am able to see how my agility, aggressiveness go up (they both went up 2 points last season).
From now on I will try the normal camera since lately I have been playing badly with the Legend Camera (maybe its because I played 2v2 with my brothers and cousins all weekend and couldn't play BAL)
