started a new BAL since i'm using a new option file with current transfers, kits...etc

Started out at Feyenoord and moved to Bordeaux at the January transfer window. Completed the season at DMF position and we won the Masters cup while finishing in 5th in the league.

Olympiakos came calling at the end of the season and I transferred over without even thinking twice. Five training matches in the season and now I'm coming in as a sub every game. Second game I came in we were down 0-1 to my old club Bordeaux. I got subbed in at the 65' and by the 72' I had tied it up. A screaming cross came in from the right and I met it with a header at the near post to tie it up. 10 minutes later and with us pressing, we won a corner and my central defender rises and heads it into the net. We won 2-1....excellent game.

Not BAL related but yesterdays UEFA cup score: Olympiakos 5-1 Benfica

^^ Just you wait, your 4th season will be a blinder. I mean it is for me atm, the stats don't really change to make a significant change but for some reason I/you just seem to play better. (my experience from 2 BAL seasons)

I'm going to resin what I said about Milan not being a good move and their formation wasn't working for me, so I thought, but instead of fighting it I started tracking back and when they win possession work on the break passing between 2-3 players. I've managed some stunning results, 5-0 against Arsenal to name one, I scored 4, assisted 1, my first errr hat-trick, still only a rating of 7.5 though.

My record so far this season:

In 40 games total scored 34, assisted 6.
Which breaks down to:

League - 19 (Totti 2nd on 16)
Cup - 3 (Zinha 1st on 4)
Champions League - 10 (Raul 2nd on 6)
Masters Cup - 2 (tied with loads of players)

I'm really hoping to still get CL golden boot, there's only the semis and the final for Raul to score 4 goals and they have Man U in the semis.

I just can't believe the turn around this season.

i just started a new BAL yesterday after putting an option file on.
had good scout match7.0 or 7.5 then signed for middlesbourgh cos they were the highest ranked.around 8 games into the season now ive come on as a sub in 3 and just started my first match i play CF/SS.my stats havent went up a great deal, although i did get match experience points for a game i never played in.
i think my highest is top speed which is about 80 or so.
mido is an absolute fud,he never ever passes the ball evenif im at the penalty spot unmarked and hes at the side of the box with like 3 guys on him he still shoots.so as a result we're now 16th in the league and losing 3-0 to bolton and the likes yet performing well against the top 4.

Just wondering, I've been playing CF and been put in that position for all my training games and match starts etc. however is it possible to be made an offer from a club to play in a position like SS or AMF even? Also does changin ur style of play, like making alot good passes affect these decisions?

im a CF and have played as a SS but i dont think you can play as a AMF aswell, not sure on that though.i think it jst depends on the formation of the team and any injurues to other players in that position.

SUMISOFT!!!

i was just reading the older posts... i was really wondering how you perform so well in top player in the first few seasons... really.. how do you normally play?? when the stats are so low... i'm on my 3rd season and i still dont perform so well.

I pass a lot and try to score 1-3 times per match that´s all. I sold my PES and I bought FIFA 09. Game play is very poor in both so currently, I play that manager mod (football manager) for a change :)

I think that today there´s a big change some Game Programmers, ( who knows what they are doing) to develop us a brand new Football Game!!! Brand new means - Best ever!!!

I'm with Torino still, aftering transferring from Reggina after Genoa (my first club), and the owner seems to be building a super team. He signed Park Chu Young and Hosni, and we are incredible. The huge clubs (inter, barca, chelsea) give us a run for our money still, but we are up there.

I have an average rating of 6.35 on my first season. Will clubs like AS roma and Juventus offer me a contract? Or they will offer you a contract after 2 or 3 seasons?

I found that after my first season with a rating of 6.25 only clubs with a similar rating came offering contracts. Then in my second season I got a 6.21 (which was poor) and slightly better teams came, along (strangely) with a couple from other leagues, then in season 3 with a rating of 6.60 I had offers from clubs just outside the big 4. (I was in the Italian League.) like Fiorentina (5th), Udinese (6th), I didn't leave my first club (Napoli) until the end of season 3, when I moved to Milan. So I don't think you're gonna see the likes of Roma or Juve before season 3.

I also wouldn't recommend leaving a league until you've won the cup and the league, so you get the trophies, once you've done that then move to the next league.
I should have move from league C when I left Napoli, cause I won both league and cup, now technically this season I can't further my trophy count at all.

HELP GUYS !!!
I've been playing in Be A Legend Mode (PS3) for several season now.
I'm currently just been transfered to Man Utd.
My player's natonality is Australian.
I won the World Cup as a top scorer and I got average of 7 or above (I noted down every rating that I received).
At the end I did not win the Player of The Tournament, and I did not even make the Team of the Tournament.
While with before the World Cup with Chelsea I won the Champions League and top scorer and got a good average ratings, yet I did not win the Player of The Tournament.
Why is this happening ? anyone got any clue ?
Does anyone have tips on how to become the World Player of the Year and European Pleyar of The Year.
My brother also playin' and he won every single personal achievement, yet he just can't win the World Player of The Year.
What's wrong?

It's not easy, as I'm finding. It's about consistency, even down to the ratings for a specific match. Goals aren't everything, it's about passes and completed passes etc too.

I can't say how to win either 'football of the year' awards as I haven't yet. I'm hopeful this year after 51 goals and 17 assists with Milan and then the semi-finals of the Euro with Israel, in which I was a player of the tournament.

There as a striker I assisted and scored 4 goals, and only missed 3 passes out of 80+ hence the player of the tournament award.

so sorry I can't be of more help.

Unbelievable!! Been playing my first season on BAL (at Aston Villa) as a CF and played about 25 matches and scored 3 goals. Then against Arsenal in the league I got a hat-trick in the first 36 minutes of the game, and hit the post and got an assist before half-time. Got taken off at 60mins though game was already won i guess! strange only getting 7.5 though isnt it? has anyone ever got over 8.0?

Thanks for your info.
My player's is a CF.
Isn't a CF should be judged based on how many goals he scored?
I mean I scored 57 goals with Milan from 47 matches last season, and I am the league MVP.
I have to say that my player never or rarely try to give assists.
I used to think that as a Midfielder you should aim for assists while as a striker you should score as many goals as possible.
But yet it did not win me any international awards (in terms of MVP, while I won every top scorer awards).

I scored 11 goals and 1 assist in my first season and there are 8 matches left. I'm playing as a SS.

The End of Season Contracts/Offers period is SO ANNOYING.
Finished my first BAL season with A.Villa (CF - 11 goals/3 assists) teams top scorer.

Anyway I thought this would get me offers from Championsleague teams etc.. First 4 weeks kept getting offers from Tottenham (who won the league), Man City and Blackburn aswell as some foreign clubs. Decided to wait till last few weeks though as sometimes I was geting 6 offers! Anyway I guess cuz I kept declining offers they stopped and now Im stuck at Aston Villa again. Not that annnoyed but we've failed to qualify for any of the europe tournaments and defense can be shcking some days e.g. lost 3-0 to West Brom twice and lost to Hull and Stoke.

Currently in my fifth BAL season.
SS, England.

Started at Hull City - played into the first team before November, scored a few goals and showed some good promise. Highlights of the season included scoring on debut in the league and playing to the semi-finals of the League Cup (scored in the semi's but lost 2 - 1 to ManU). Finished the first season 8th in the table (not bad for Hull!).

Took an offer from Torino in the Summer with the promise of consistent first team play and better wages. Played phenomenally well the first part of the season but saw a dip in form over the november period. Then the break came - Del Piero injured at Juventus and they needed a fill-in. Juventus swooped and stole me away with ease. Even knowing I would be behind Del Piero in the squad list upon his return, the opportunity to play European football was to much to overcome, and I jumped ship.

Hit the ground running with the new squad and scored a fistful of goals alongside Trezeguet (It is amazing how much of a positive difference a good squad can make on your performance). It seemed as though Camoranesi had a knack for finding me in open space.I was developing good chemistry with the squad and even after Del Piero returned in late March I still saw a good amount of pitch time (most often as a substitute, but a few scattered starting opportunities). Highlight of the season was a substitute appearance in the Champions League Quater-Final against Arsenal where I nicked a rebound goal to seal the victory at 3 - 1. I received an England call-up for the World Cup, but didn't see any consistent time.

Continued on with Juventus for the next three years. My BAL player is rounding into quite the footballer - showing good pace and skill at a very young age (21). Won the league the last two years and made the knockout stages in Europe both times (Semifinal and Final). Won a few individual awards (Golden Boot in Serie A, League Cup Tournament MVP, World XI, League XI). Winter transfers have arrived and I'm currently considering offers from Reggina, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, Arsenal and Lazio. I would consider a move back to England, but never to Arsenal - no way (I wouldn't be able to live with myself ). Will most likely stay on until the summer and then make a move back to England after the Euro's. I must say an offer from Real Madrid is exciting, almost verification that "I'm a real footballer now".

Anyway I thought this would get me offers from Championsleague teams etc.. First 4 weeks kept getting offers from Tottenham (who won the league)

The winner of the league qualifies for UCL.

Transfers are fickle. Teams with big interest early on may not stick around if they find a suitable (perhaps cheaper/younger) alternative (very realistic in my opinion).

Also - the teams on your "wish list" may not have a current need for your position. I wish that Chelsea had a need for a SS - but my style (roaming behind the CF with freedom) isn't suited for that club. I hate to say it but I may fit into a Liverpool style (ack!) - ala Robbie Keane.
