How do you distribute the leagues/teams in your Master League?

I didn't want to limit the teams in my ML to four countries, both for diversity's sake and to make the overall level of competition higher, so I split the leagues but by culture/style of play. Usually I play in a 'Latin' league, with the best teams from Portugal, South America, and Spain. Another league will have teams from England, Scotland (just Rangers and Celtic), and Germany, it's probably the strongest. Another league will have teams from France, Holland, and Belgium; it's by far the weakest league but I like having one weaker league. The last one will have teams from Italy, Eastern Europe, and whatever leftovers if any.

How do you make your Master League?

I always go with Prem, Serie A, La Liga and (what I call) UEFA or FIFA Superliga which will consist of the best of the rest. I'll usually be one of the teams in that Superliga too so I can put in 30 odd teams with Division 2 as well

I usually place all the best/highest rated teams in the league ill be in.
Then the second hardest in the next and so on.

Eventually it balances out, but its a real experience when you play with the default ML players in Top player difficulty in the hardest league possible >

I also place myself in the second division if possible.

- F.A. Premiership
- La Liga

- Final league is a combination of the best dutch and french teams.

Eng/France 10 teams of each in L1
Italy/Spain 10 teams of each in L2
France/Holland 10 teams of each in L3
The others in L4

and a random selection of teams for D2

I always place the 3 portuguese teams (my country), 4 ou 5 from the Other Teams section, and the usual "giants", like Barça, Real, Man u, Chelsea, etc.

There are always a few big teams left, so i usually distribute them evenly through the other leagues (basically the default ones, i.e. La Liga, England League, etc. but without the top 2 or 3 teams, which i put on my league)

So, i always end up with the strongest teams in my league (i always start in the 2nd division, where i put a few medium quality teams.

i have a british league using the spl option file so i can have div 1 & 2
a southern europe league with french, portugese and spanish
a eastern europe with greek turkish and italian

- League A: 20 English teams
- League B: 20 Spanish teams
- League C: 20 Italian teams
- League D: 10 best French teams, 10 best Dutch teams
- League A division 2: 12 best Other teams

well i WANT to be able to have 20 english teams in div1 and then fill div 2 with championship teams so its a real simulation of english football, BUT even with downloading a championship option file i cant do this, so another unessacary problem!!

just copy over the lower ranked spanish teams that can be used in the ml and also the 2 teams at the bottom of other league a and you can use them in your ml as championship teams.that's what i'm doing with scottish teams and it works a treat. problem solved

does anybody know if there is or will be an option file that has enough championship teams in it for d2 on master league, and the championship teams are usuable in master league?
