How Do You Offer New Contracts

How do you offer new contracts, can you only offer them in the transfer window, or can you do it at other times. Also one of my players put his contract talks on hold at the beginning of the window and now its closed so can i not offer him one till the end or will he just leave???

I'm pretty sure you can only offer contract renewals at the the end of the season. I haven't got there yet, but that's how it's always been.

Flo - I'm not any contract-expert :) But when the players contracts need to be renewed, you get the message saying "some players are seeking contract renewals" - then it's just a matter of accepting, changing or refusing. However i can't remember if this only happens at the end of a season..

No one will leave without you being noticed about his renewal wish first, so it's up to you.

from what i have experienced you will need to renew contracts in the jan transfer window.
if you dont renew them in the jan window i think they have a chance to leave as a free agent in the july/august window unless you sucessfully manage to renew them in that window

I think its basically the same as when you offer contracts to people in the weeks leading upto the tranfer window (the ones who have stalled negotiations). So if you dont renew the contract of one of your better players then the com teams may well offer a contract and you will find they leave you when the window opens and there is nothing you can do about it.

well for me jonny evans put his on hold so im guessing hes leaving then as i cant remember if i renewed it.
