How to convert various option file formats to bin/cue files

First off i'd like to thank whoever made this happen and helped me learn the conversion process. This tutorial should help you convert option files from various formats to bin/cue files (and other formats as well but i'm sticking to bin/cue on this). It's quite simple really.

Supported option file types are:
1. max (AR MAX V3)
2. xps (X-Port 2)
3. npo (NPort)
4. p2m (Xploder 4 Pro)
5. pws (AR MAX Power Save)
6. xpo (X-Port 1)
7. md (SharkPort)
8. spo (SharkPort 1)
9. sps (SharkPort 2)
10. psu (Memory Linker)
11. cbs (Code Breaker Saves)

Tools you need

Start with downloading these 3 programs: (Click on them to download)
PS2 Save Builder
PS2Menu
CDGENPS2

Extract them into a folder to proceed to the next step.

Conversion Process
1. Open PS2 Save Builder. Click on File > Open (or the folder icon) to locate and open your option file. Then click File > Save as (or the save icon), choose .npo from the "Save as type" drop down list. Click Save.

2. Create a file with notepad and copy paste the following:

BOOT2 = cdrom0:\PS2MENU.ELF;1
VER = 1.10
VMODE = PAL

Save it as SYSTEM.CNF.
Note: VMODE can be PAL or NTSC.

3. Open CDGENPS2. Drag and drop the files in this order:
CDGENPS2 (This is already there no need to be dragged)
SYSTEM.CNF (File created in step 2)
PS2MENU.ELF (Find it in PS2Menu folder which you extracted earlier)
BESLES-54203PES6OPT.npo (This is your saved option file from step 1 in .npo format)
Here's how it should look like:

Now Click on the "IMG" icon on the left, type in whatever name you would want to call this option file and save. Make sure it is saved in .bin format. ;)
Note: When you save to .bin format, .cue file is automatically created with it.

4. Open Nero, Alcohol 120% or whatever burning program you got. Personally i use Alcohol 120%. Click on Image burning wizard, choose your image you saved from step 3, the .cue file, and burn away.

I hope this tutorial was informative enough. Credits to the programs' makers who helped us make this happen.

Now, enjoy converting. :)

I haven't tried it to be honest. Try it and you'll find out ;)
BESLES - SLES means euopean, SLUS means american. I think its better you keep it the way it is though.

Don't think you can do that for the same game. You'd have to either delete the existing OF or it would be over-written. Best to have 2 memory cards or more.

Help Me

I already followed your instructions and the disc load. The problem is, when I uncrush it at my memory card, it show X-port icon instead of PES6 icon. And when I load the Option Files error occured ( I think the PES6 game didn't recognize the Option Files)

Please man help me because I already lost 3 disc to make this bin Cue file to works. I use Max save to make npo files..... OR can you make a Bin/Cue file of NeoPES Option File - VERSION 4.0 for me....

I think if you make it maybe it'll work.....
I'm looking forward for your reply m8...
