How to get my OF to work when your not connected to Xbox Live

Big issue guys and I need your help.

This is nothing to do with hacked machines but my issue lies with normal consoles with my file installed.

All I want to know is if you pull out your internet cable then load up the game.. would it still work?


My Xbox is fine. Ive installed all 3 konami updates via Xbox live and obviously im using my most recient patch.. (V3 work in Progress)

On my console, I can pull out the internet cable then load up the game and it still says Data Pack 2.00 and works fine.

Issue..

My cousin has no internet at his home and was using v2 and hasnt updated since the jog bug was fixed and also he does not have the December update.

Now I had a tournament on Saturday at my house and I told him to bring his whole system so I could get him up to date. .. the fool brought only his Xbox 360 HD.

Now when I plugged his HD into my spare Xbox 360.. it automatically did the update for the jog bug and also said that there were no konami updates installed in the system.. So I had to re-install them even though I knew the 1st 2 were there before.

This was all done on my spare Xbox 360 with his HD. (this is always a no no but in the past the damage is usually reversable)

So I installed all 3 konami updates and then my v3 (work in progress)

It worked fine.

Issue..

Now when he took his HD home and plugged into his Xbox 360 with no internet, it thinks that there are no data packs installed and goes back to Data pack 1.00 and now he's pissed.. lol

Its all about the Microsoft digital rights management and when I downloaded the file into his HD from my system.. it left a print so the Xbox knows that data was obtained from a seperate machine.


So he brought his whole Xbox round last night and I tried to erase all the konami updates including his edit data and system data but no joy.

I even cleared the cache which removed the automatic jog bug update when you turn on the game.

It works fine if he's connected to Xbox Live but the issue is that it wont work when hes not connected. (similar to if you buy a new console and swap the HD)

I've tried everything and I know its the DRM (Digital Rights Management) that is telling his machine that something was downloaded from another machine but I dont know where this information is stored in his HD or gamer profile etc.

Its messed up..

Now ive got his system back using Daymos v1.1 before konami update until I figure out what to do..

I cant even get him back to v2

I want to treat his console like those banned machines and possible change the ID's of the updates to match his.. although I erase them and install them again.. (I dont think they really get erased because they download very quickly when I try to put them back.)

Once I tried to install just 1 of the October updates and when I selected not to save.. it then somehow installed all 3 updates..?

How do I tell the Xbox that the data updates have never been downloaded ever because it is in the memory of my download history.

Any suggestions to resolve would be much appreciated.. as ive spent 3 days on this and should be finishing v3

Ill send those that help some v3 Bundesliga files to play test

I dont know if this is the same problem but with your version 2 i tried to transfer it to my brothers harddrive because he doesnt have x box live.

So i got his hdd plugged it into my x box downloaded the updates transfered it across, double checked on my console it was working and it was.

Brought it back to his console and the same happened that none of the updates were downloaded.

so i set him up a free one month subscription hooked his console up in my house and downloaded the updates straight to his console, this seemed to work

so what i tought the problem was microsoft doesnt allow downloaded content to transfer between consoles for some reason so if you download the content straight to the x box it should work.

hope this helps in some way

1. Remove the update entirely

1.1 Go to System Settings > Memory > Hard Drive > Games > PES 2011 and Remove the Data Update.

1.2 Go to System Settings > Memory and hover over the Hard Drive and Press Y (Device Options), select Clear System Cache and confirm.

1.3 Reboot the console.

2. New Silver Account

2.1 Now when I tried to make a new xbox live account on my console it would always give me a upgrade to gold for a month - no good. So go to xbox.com and create a new XBox live Silver account.

2.2 On your console, recover this gamertag (Make sure you're logged out) Sign in > Recover Gamertag) and follow the menus.

3. Data Update Download

3.1 Restart (The console should now auto login to your new account, keep it this way) and boot up PES 2011, you'll be prompted to get the data update. Do so, and you'll find you can now play PES with the OF offline - even after a restart.

I actually sorted the issue this evening before reading your helpful posts :)

You guys are spot on.. Basically I downloaded the updates again from one of his other profiles and his xbox had no record of ever downloading the updates and when I installed all 3 it took longer than before which was good.

Just by doing this, it put everything right when I loaded up the game from his original profile.

Once it loaded fine without Internet connection then I knew it would be fine to add my file

It's working perfectly now so I can continue v3
