How to get the dive to work???

Anybody know that Camacho kid? He comes in as a newbie half way through the first ML season every time. Hes good, I always sign him up. (and Kaiser, later). Well, it turnes out hes a cheating git - he dived in the box and got a pen! I won the game on that pen too

Every other time I tried diving, i failed it completely. I found that it works well when sprinting - if you manage to change direction right in front of the defender you should get the foul, so long as your not on level 1. And lets be fair, on level 1 you shouldnt be diving...

i know it happens in real life and its one of them things but why would konami put this in the game i think it just spoils the game especially when you have inexperienced players like my mate or is always trying it on. But i had the last laugh when 3 or his men was red carded for diving lol

It's getting too easy now. I've won several decisions by diving. Just yesterday I won a penalty and I dived a about a metre away from the defender and about 2 seconds after he tried to tackle me.

Only done the dive once playing against my mate.Just outside the box and i scored the free kick too.
Put a huge smile on my face watching him getting pissed off.

I have won Dives for Penalties againt my m8s and online. But have failed also haha
When u r in the box defenders stick their leg out to the side to try intercept hit the buttons and dive. Doesnt always work.
Or try pretend shoot then change direction this cause the comp to stick their leg out, or if the opponenct ure playing is holding X then this cause sticking the leg out.

Also if u are crowded with alot of players and your back is to the referee and u are a decent distance away from his sight, also helps

diving works but i'm not sure about the shirt pulling

They both do, its just hard to see the shirt pulling thats all. Depends on your camera view.
