i dont think that "whining" is worse than being one of those boring players, but i say it can be more challenging this way. try changing your tactics and facing these players. i can ensure you it will make you a better player at PES and it would feel pretty good beating a sad player who picks barca, by a massive goal difference.
TIP- try building up pressure on the side back line by using the manual tactics. also, leave a striker up to be ready for a quick break away.
i agree with you alonCFC ,you cant consider yourself a good player if you cant defend a cut back ,the art of a good player is their ability to adapt to the opposistions style
even though i hate the cut back and opponents who dribble for 90 yards ,i deliberatley target these type of players ,ones who play with barca ,inter ,man utd etc ,simply because i know playing these type of players helps you improve defensively ,there brand of football is predictable but effective and you have to concentrate more to win these
but theres a real sense of victory when you smash an opponent who dribbles using barca etc with a lesser team like newcastle
the only down side is ,i might play 30-40 passes and vary my attack just to make a chance ,where as my opponent may just intercept a loose pass ,and run 90 yards do a 180 semi circle run down the wing cut back run accross the goal line then cut it back for him to score a tap in ,for me it kills the spirit of the game
but theres several ways around this issue one is to score early go defensive ,and play it accross your defense for the rest of the game ,its very boring ,gets your opponent mad as f**k ,altho by doing this ,i have learned new swear words courtesy of the online chat
