i played fifa 06 and i thought it was a complete piece of shit
i havnt got pes5 yet but im gona play with a few mates for a few hours so we all have a good competition at the start.

i dont even think the graphics are too good for fifa and pes graphics are under rated.

I have played both titles, I enjoy Pro Evo far better, but thats only my opinion. Yeah it does look like a polished turd when you first pick it up but go back two/three years when there were still no liscenses to be seen - the game still out sold the fifa of that time, Fifa isn't a good game, it was better when you actually had to button bash, at least there was method to the madness, the liscenses for all clubs look good, they got them from the teams when the game came out and changed the gaming world with its different style, that time is over though and more and more liscenses are coming to Pro Evo - they're coming for a reason mate - surely you must see this.
However unfinished you think Pes5 is it will be the only game you will be playing come the 3 weeks before the release of Pes6 or whatever. Fifa06 would have been traded long before then.

The asshole who gave that review must have a problem getting to grips with the fact that PES5 requires some brain power and not only the "skill" of button bashing which is an essential ingredient for FIFA!

Quite frankly I think this guy should keep his rubbish opinions to him self...the SLAG!!!

mate i'm agreeing with your points, theres no reason to have a go at me. i know we'll all be playing pes5 until pes6 comes out, thats because its the best football game out at the moment, but its still by no means perfect. the bias on this site is just the same as the "FIFA RULZ !!1111!" fanboys that constantly get slagged off on this site.

as for the licenses, they dont care which game they're on, they're only interested in the money. arsenal and chelsea didnt sit down and say to themselves, "oooo that pro evo is a great game, lets get them to put us in there!" thats not how it works.

and as for that quote from game i cannot understand why some people still dont agree with it. its not a criticism of pes5. its stating the differences between fifa and pes.

The whole point of the PES series is that it is game that u cannot master overnight, it takes weeks, months (maybe even years) for a PES noobie to play before being able to win every match they play in 6 star, FIFA is a pick-up and play game but is less in-depth than PES

Just what I was going to point out as well. The quote doesn't say that PES5 is a bad game. Maybe if the review had also said something after that like "But PES5's realism is in a league of it's own" then we wouldn't be having this conversation. I think the review is simply trying to point out the aspects that FIFA is better at than PES.

WE should note that not everyone plays PES/WE as great as the people in this forum..... cos only until you get the grips of the game, den football realism starts to kick in, or else its frustrating..... cos PES/WE gameplay is a lot more 'manual' than FIFA's

Ever notice that the 1st few weeks of playing PES/WE, the outlook and game flow always looks the same, only until later than the game will start to change into more unpredictable flow.... thus others who dun play PES/WE long enuff wun realise the full potential of the game....

and i do believe FIFA is improving, cos they are trying to copy konami. and i do feel in some aspect konami should also learn from FIFA, e.g. the stamina meter that depletes when your player starts running wif the ball, and recovers when he walks.... Nice feature tat is....

I do kinda agree with that comment PES5 like all pro games havnt been "flashy" like Fifa is however to all the people who have said that the only reason anyone slags off Fifa is cause they are loyal to konami even if Fifa is better, I would like to say I played fifa all through the 90`s and up until 2003 i refused to play any other football games i would argue that Fifa is better than all of them. Then my friend persuaded me to try Pro 3 and i hated it, I thought it was unrealistic, i thought the graphics were rubbish compared to Fifa and i wouldnt have it! Then EA released Fifa 2004 and my allegence was switched, Fifa has become so predictable in the way you play, I swear that i went through 20 games on Fifa and every goal was practically the same. I just bought PES5 yesterday and like all the PES games i`ve played i am not sure whether i like it yet or not. I think we can all agree that PES could be so much better if Konami actually asked the fans what they wanted to be improved, however despite all its faults i think we can all agree that PES is still the more enjoyable on the whole to play, if Fifa was like it was in 2003 then i would still be playing it, i think its better that Konami havnt drastically changed Pro over the last few titles like EA have with Fifa. I think I am proof that its not just loyal Konami fans that say pro is better than Fifa, I used to be on the other side.

Sorry about the long post but I think this shud get my point across.

in the 90s i was into fifa and the firtst time i played iss pro i didnt like it but my mate wouldnt play anything else and i got into it and now im lovin pes and everytime i play fifa i just think its crap, even pes when its hard at the start i still think that ill get used to it and love it

i still only got pes4 and i played master league from 3pm till 11:30 and i loved every minute of it, id play longer it i could
