he's right, im a PES fanboy and would defend it all day long, but the last 2 releases have been nothing 2 shout about, thts y if jumped ship 2 fifa, thts true next gen and have at least put in an effort 2 improve on the previous year, unlike CONami, cos the only thing thts changed is the year in the title

very, very dissapointed!!!!

i slightly disagree. IMO the gameplay n graphix r great for PES but Fifa is immense for me due to their modes such as become a pro n manager mode which i believe are desperately needed on PES! Yes i no become a legend on PES is similar but its garbage compared to the FIFA be a pro version.

Nice to know there are people who know what i'm talking about.

I am not a fan of FIFA, never have been that much really but they have continued to improve the game year upon year whereas the Konami lot have done nothing!

They'll be people switching over in the tens of thousands this year!!. Long time pesfans have had enough!. Ive been playing pes most of the day trying to find the love in it but cant find it enjoyable anymore. Ive had enough and ejected it. Ive put fifa09 back in instead.

oh and it doesnt stop their oh no no no. how is it that konami still havent fixed the online its just insane its a joke, i was playin online earlier 2day right and the lag was incredible i mean to point wer even the ref was laggin but anyways still i was smacking someone 4 - 0 with a bunch ov stupid easy goals scored by messi and this person quits the game in the last 15 mins so im thinkin ok i got that win, i go check my record it says i've lost 3 -0 now this is totally an utterly unacceptable we payed our hard earned money for a game that just like last year cant cope with one of the main features everyone wants to do which is online. i mean the game hasnt even been out for a week and already there is a message that pops up wen u sign in sayin 'the servers are unstable... we appoligize for any inconveniance'. ok konami how about an apology for making absolutley no progress wotsoeva in the past 3 years.

oh and how could i forget the mode that could quite easily be part of the master league but instead its a stand alone mode which i could of created myself by simply selecting cup mode and putting in teams from all over europe. need i say more ........

the gameplay isnt that much better all thats changed is the speed.

u wanna talk about graphics okay pes2009 graphics are good but c'mon its bin 3 years of pes on next gen for konami and the graphics have only improved a bit from last year i mean look at other sports games they are way ahead in the graphics area e.g. look at this video from NBA 2k9 this is also a game thats in its 3rd year on next gen i know its not football but its still a sports game with fantastic realistic graphics and gameplay from a company that probably has a smaller production team than seabass's team

its shocking that konami seems to turn a blind eye to all the negativity form last years game and only makes minor improvements.
As a fan of pes you shouldnt jus want the game to progress inch by inch each year, you should be able to turn off your console at night knowing you've played a game that has had 110% of effort put in because thats what next gen is all about there is no excuse for a poor game in my opinion considering the capabillities of xbox 360 and ps3 we should be seeing and demanding major improvements instead of minor ones.

lol i did with fifa tho for a while cos i was always hoping or thinkin whilst reading the review that surely it cant be that bad i'll give it a play, buy it, nope ther right its shit
thats why i bought this years and yes its a great game

wer as pes's reputation went before it
before we wer guaranteed a 9/10 game
now lol
7/10 is being very generous cos some of the core gameplay remains from yesteryear

mmmm first impressions was i like the game. single player mode only tho. The online play i cannot get to grips with. i know the "your'e crap" quote will rumble on, but i really feel that online at least i havent played a game that felt less fun.

i just went 5-0 down in a game just now so i proceeded to watch the rest of it. The computer gave away a penalty for my team and i wasn't even doing anything!!!
Sad to say it but Konami have not done theirselves any favours with the online side of this game. Players disapear, the ball disapears, it is a nightmare to play online.
single player tho I do really like.
