^No it's not. It's based on an opinion. There's no game better than the other especially this year. The WE DEMO ofcourse not pes demo because that's more complete. The PES DEMO is an old build.

KéRoZèN, I hope you don't feel that I was defending fifa there, and yes you are right about PES being a step in the right direction, but my own personal opinion is that it needed a leap, not a step :p

That said, it is my own opinion. My main point is that I don't think it's right to label PES as a real footballers choice, because I love football, playing and watching, but it's just that fifa seems to satisfy me more overall.

And then with that said, I know exactly how you feel about scoring on PES, it feels awesome. I remember I always filled out the allocated replay slots on PES5 and then having to empty out older goals as I scored new ones :)

As others have said, people are allowed their opinion, and if they justify why they dislike or hate PES then they shouldn't be banned. A lot of the members who are here seemingly just to bash PES and provoke arguments in the PES section have/will be banned, obviously. But so long as members have valid opinions why should they be banned?

I've always played ISS/PES, but I'm enjoying aspects from both demos this year. That's definitely good for everyone, if FIFA advances as it has seemingly, then Konami have no choice but to step up to the plate, even if they don't meet expectations they still might provide a worthwhile game which appears to be the case as far as the demo is concerned (not a final build though I don't believe).

No one will get banned for praising FIFA on a PES website unless they're spamming and arguing constantly, but that would be the case with anything.

Lastly FUCK U fifa fans, you dont have a clue, fifa is for armchair supporters that have never played a real life game of football in there lifes and no nothing about the skills and vision involved in football

So what about the FIFA fans who used to be PES fans but converted? do they just suddenly not know what they're talking about? Silly boy!

Why do PES fans have this hollier-than-thou attitude over FIFA fans, like they're better than them? As someone who is a fan of both games and buys both every year, those PES fans annoy me

Finally decided to leave this site after 6 years as each and everyday ...

Yet after all these years you only have 39 posts (as I write this). So you then need to make a thread about how you're leaving? And half of those 39 posts are in this very thread.

Attention seeker - these forums are better off without you.

Goodbye

Call it a step or a leap, imo PES is still the better choice. ;) And it looks like it will be even more the case on 2010 versions than on 2009's (still imo).

That said, it is my own opinion. My main point is that I don't think it's right to label PES as a real footballers choice, because I love football, playing and watching, but it's just that fifa seems to satisfy me more overall.

I think that too, that's why I said you can't put a judgment on that. I was just pointing out something I noticed among the people I know. You can't take that as a generality, of course.

And then with that said, I know exactly how you feel about scoring on PES, it feels awesome. I remember I always filled out the allocated replay slots on PES5 and then having to empty out older goals as I scored new ones :)

I know, those ps2 memory cards didn't have enough space to put on all my nice goals :). That's actually a good point for the next gen versions...no more deciding which goal to erase, you can save 'em all (at least on 2009).
About the "special feeling" in PES when scoring a goal, I still get that on PES and still not on FIFA. That's one of the reasons why I stick with PES and why I don't like FIFA as much. That said, I seriously considered switching in 2008, because that PES was imo by far the crappiest of the series. So I can't blame anyone for actually doing it. I'm glad I didn't now, perhaps because I'm a loyal kind of guy, I dunno but I really don't regret it even if I felt let down by Konami at some time. Everytime I played FIFA, I figured I couldn't get used to their concept either, so I thought I'd just stick with PES.

Never heard of you so bye.

lmfao!

Yeah, FIFA goals have left me speechless at times, but I've never stood up and shouted 'GET INNNNNNNNN!' at the tele like I do with PES :p

I think a lot of people should get their priorities straight ... if you love football you wouldn't care if it's called PES, FIFA or if it's a new game coming from a company like THQ or EIDOS. I usually go with the game that represents real football the most. During the early days I went with fifa 95-2000 then i switched to ISS and pro and then back to fifa 08-10 (Should buy it this year).

I don't think the people who say that pes is realistic and saying that fifa is for armchair people do realize that real people in real matches don't move like robots with sticks up their arses, and real footballers HAVE to touch the ball in order to move it unless you're some kind of psychic mumbo jumbo. Or real players celebrate goals by thrusting their palms through their teammates chests.

Fifa isn't perfect but it's the better product gameplay wise and everything wise actually. I was really tempted to buy PES this year and i tried, really tried to like the demo as I've seen the effort being put into releasing this game. But the guys at konami should axe some of the big heads there, get some guy from the UK or Europe, someone who actually plays football and follow it like religion.

BTW I also agree with this statement. PLAY WHAT YOU LIKE. BUT RESPECT OTHER'S DECISIONS AND DO NOT SLATE THE OPPOSING GAME EVERYTIME. :)

I just dont get this loyalty, EA and Konami are just big companies after your money, sticking with a sub standard product through loyalty really is stupid if you ask me, and i dont mean to say PES is a sub standard product i was talking in general terms regardless if you was talking about a video game or a washing machine manafacturer.

I'm after the best football game and i couldn't give a monkeys who makes it, i'll buy the best one available imo. On the ps2 i started with Fifa, i discovered PES and found it to be a better game and more or less stuck with it. Due to Fifa constantly playing catch up, the Fifa game was always below par compared to PES on that system.

The best thing that happened to EA was the next gen consoles, because on the current gen Fifa was always having to spend time tweaking it's match engine, whilst PES had a top notch match engine in place and could always stay ahead by simply fine tuning it. The next gen consoles made both developers start from scratch, so this allowed EA to really address the balance and imo since next gen it's PES that is having to play catch up. This also explains why PES is still better than Fifa on the PC.

Criticism of a game is a good thing it keeps developers on its toes, and the only thing that you can compare PES to is Fifa, and that explains the sheer amount of PES v Fifa posts in the forum.

konami's problem in my opinion is the lack of ressources , EA is just a giant in the gaming industry and they have more money way more money than konami , and therefore they can implements more technology in their games. konami's pes producers are in my opinion more talentend when it comes to creating football game , but talent isnt everything, without the ressources thats EAs has konami wont be able to keep up EA for much longerim afraid

I wonder if Fifa forums are experiencing these same problems...

As a matter of fact the in the fifa forum they all talk about good things about PES and how fifa should implement those things into the game.......Maybe thats why fifa is becoming more and more like PES?????????????? But They dont talk as much crap as you guys do here about fifa trust me..........there has been some post that just say"fifa sucks" "Fuck fifa" etc..
