Wow!...I just played the fifa 09 demo and when you're in the arena playing with ronaldinho the gameplay actually feels good..BUT when you play a match it feels weird and It's ok i guess.

PES 2009 will still have better gameplay I believe!

"Ok"? Its just massivly sluggish and you cant barely ever run more than 2 metres towards your oppenants goal without being pushed off the ball. With fifa shooting is still not very good. In pes when you shoot you feel like every 1/10th of the shoting bar will result in a different type of shot outcome but in fifa there are 2. If it goes over half way you get a shot which goes exactly the same hieght over the bar as all the others and if its below half then it either goes in or doesnt. This would be crap if they had pes's ball physics but they dont so it feels horribly crap.

TRue! and the graphics in the arena look way better than in the match ones, the match ones look exacly like fifa 08

Exactly what i thought. Fifa have missed a good oppertunity to gain some ground but imo pes has improved so much and fifa has improved only a little on what was crap in the first place. Fifa need to like double their pitch size because it constantly feels like im playing in a back garden, running through wet cement, trying to kick a ballon and it fails badly. 250 improvements? There are about 250 pieces of evidence that they havnt improved atall. There about as deluded as Hitler thinking he could defend Berlin.

I had great hopes on FIFA 09, but I'm not impressed by this demo, FIFA still lacks the soul and emotion of PES.

I can't believe how many people say that FIFa 09 is a massive improvement and is going to be better the PES2009.

I just playe dthe demo and i had to make sure i had loaded the correct demo, at first i thought it was the 08 demo from last year!

The controls are still sluggish, and nothing is fluid!

Also did anybody notice, when the game is loading and you can play the little one-on-one how high up the number is on the back of the players shirt, it looks nothing like what an OFFICIAL shirt would look like from behind.

This game sucks donkey ass!

Admittedly, I've only played three or four games on the demo, but, it's nothing better than okay. The full game will probably be a lot better than the demo though. I refuse to build myself up for a game after playing a demo, as usually it's always better.

in fairness i think FIFA asks you to play a slow build up passing game and this is just far from possible on a 2 minute demo, theyve shot themselves in the foot again by giving such a short period of time in the demo, i sometimes have only 1 shot per game, far from exciting. PES's shooting is 100Xs better, its something you can get to grips with and begin to predict, yet it still throws in the add bad shot when you think it would be good. FIFA struggles as its hard to take people on and the trick stick sucks, also i dont understand why all these FIFA fanboys were moaning that PES is stuck on a 8 way directional movement system, from what i can tell so is FIFA, this is particulary evident in the ARENA mode.

the most annoying thing is they have all these licenses and the majority of the keepers have the exact same bog standard awful keeper kits on, and i thought konami were lazy!
