That's a mammoth first post there Saan. Some good points too.

Hey thanks Bazhilder :) . Cool, you're a Gooner too! (Whole season unbeaten again? lol) I got loads more improvements to add to that first post that i think need doing but reckon i should write a letter to Konami asking them to include it all!

the feautres id include if i were creating PES5/WE9 would be:

Players warming up at sidelines

Id like a less stiff net so the ball doesnt bounce out after a goal

Celebrations that depend on how crucial the goal is i.e. go mad if its the last min winner!

A goalkeeper that comes up for a corner and doesnt run away as it is kicked!

No wussy handball!

Managers in the dugouts!

more lisencesI(obviasly)
more teams

better replays where the players foot actually hits the ball
loads more but i just cannot think yet

Also, I forgot to mention, I hope that on Pes4 when someone scores, for a celebration they should jump in the crowd, like on the we8 intro...That would be kewl!!

Yea you're all right guys but these improvements we all want, if not included in PES 4, willl hopefully be added to PES 5. Here's some more points to add...

1.) Better goalkeepers

The keepers need improving when it comes to saving long shots, defending from high balls, catching, parrying shots and decision-making. PES 4 should have a control, which stops the keeper coming out of the box when you don't need him to.

Goalkeepers should be able to throw OVER arm balls out from the box and commit themselves more often by throwing themselves at the players' feet when one-on-one with a player. “Decision-making” should be an attribute for goalkeepers with the higher the attribute, the faster and better they make a decision when it comes to coming out off their line and committing themselves.

2.) Graphics, detail and gameplay

· Start of the match could have a coin toss to decided ends/kick-off just like in I.S.S. on the N64.

· The crowd could reflect the way of the match, for example if the home team was getting ripped apart, some of the fans should leave the stadium. Konami should have less of the giant flags that take up half the stands too and improve the banners. Crowd chants could be improved upon too. The items in the stands could also be dependant on the game. WEFA games/games when played abroad in Italy, Spain and Japan should have flares where as in England, it would be more banner-based. The supporters in the stands should be the colour of the team too.

WEFA games should be played in the evening as they are in real life, league games during the day and cup games, depending on which stage of the cup, day or night.

· The commentators taking into account each of the team’s situation can improve the commentary. For example, they can say how the win will put them into the semi-final of the WEFA Cup or put them however many points clear at the top of the table. Furthermore, they can single out players who have been playing well and comment on other games being played at the same time. If one of the top scorers of the campaign scores, how many that takes his goal tally to and in what position of top scorer he is. PES 4 could have the commentators keeping track of the other games being played at the same time in the same league also saying how those results will affect the teams/league.

· Defences should be tighter and respond better to loose balls. I feel that defences are fairly easy to run around, even on 5 star difficulty. Failing that, more difficulty levels!

More improvements...?

1.) · The teamwork of your Master League team could be affected by how much you play each player and which team they play in. For example, if you have a regular partnership up front and then change it, it should have an effect on the amount of goals scored, teamwork and player co-operation. Free training should have an option to train your team using in-game training programmes such as freekicks and corners. Only the teamwork attribute of a player is affected depending on how often player is played but I think this could improve or worsen individual player morale and as a result, skill. Furthermore, their performance on the pitch could suffer as a result of being sidelined. Goal droughts for those players who score heavily could suffer and play inconsistently until a goal is scored etc.

2.) Cut scenes would be brilliant for when there was a dirty challenge players would jump in to break up or join the fight. Cut scenes could also be used for when players miss sitters or score own goals, teammates should console them. Keepers should be given pats on the back by teammates when they make good saves too. The introduction of managers and coaches on the touchline would be very cool too.

Players should argue with the ref more over controversial decisions such as players being ruled offside, disallowed goals and penalty decisions. And also, manager/coach cut scenes with them getting up and shouting from the touchline to show their frustration/rejoice.

On substitutions, 4th officials could hold up electronic substitution boards and the chime be furthered by use of a voice tannoy announcing the names of the players being changed.

If a player dives in the area for a penalty or has got away with a dirty challenge, the crowd should boo him whenever he has possession of the ball for the rest of the match. Effective if the home crowd are the ones who don't like him.

Introducing the teams should be different depending on which game it was. Internationals should have the team photographs and national anthems but league and cup matches should just have the mascots coming out onto pitch.

3.) Greater level of player detail

· Spitting, sweating, shouting, hair moving in the wind/rain, muddy kits as the game progresses. The pitch should get cut up as the game progresses and as the tackles fly in. Grunts, groans and shouts should be heard as players get tackled, shoot and run for the ball. Players' arms raised when taking a goal kicks and corners. Players shouting commands and encouragement, in particular, keepers and captains organising their team during an opposition set piece. Calling them to keep focused if their team go one up in a tight game.

· More weather options including snow, heavy rain and boiling heat. Players should wear gloves in the cold. And bobble hats lol!

· Konami could focus on improving the dive animation of each keeper so each keeper becomes more of an individual.

· Frustration of a side evident in kicking/throwing the ball away if a foul is committed. I don't have a clue how this would be done but it would be highly realistic should Konami pull it off. Furthermore, i'd like it (and i'm sure all you guys would too) if Konami didn't do a fade-in/fade-out for a throw in, corner or goal kick. This would keep the timing of the game realistic as its frustrating when you're on a counter attack or the other team's keeper has come far out and when the ball goes out of play, they're transported within a second back to their goal.

· Ball boys could be added too but if this was too much to have on screen then a ball could be “thrown” back in to play for the teams to continue.

· Players could sustain minor injuries but still carry on. This would be realistic by the players continuing play but with a bandage. Injuries, if serious, should have a big effect by sidelining that player not just for a few days but weeks, possibly months. Harsh and costly but realistic nonetheless.

· Master League teams could age as the seasons progress. This way, you are forced to acquire new, young players. You could start with a young ML team instead of elder players too.

4.) Greater player control

· Players automatically knowing when to leave the ball to run out of play to gain goal kick/corner/throw in.

· Quickly taken free kicks and throw in's to catch team off guard. Therefore there shouldn’t be an on-screen fade out/fade in.

· Players could make more and better runs too. I’ve noticed that when you break on the counter, you’re up there by yourself against 4 or 5 odd defenders having left the rest of your team behind!

· For all the players in the game - Players’ technique should be improved because a lot of the players’ first touch when receiving a pass is sometimes bad, no matter how good they are. I mean, Henry, Zidane - their first touch is sometimes awful!

...and if you've bothered to read all that i'd like to know if what you think.

Brilliant idea for different style goal nets and I think that you should have different reactions behind the goal depending which end you score ie
Fans hurling abuse if its at the oppositions end and fans spilling on to the pitch if its the right end.
Reaction from the dugout if there is a foul or decision right in front of the manager, subs etc.
diving option on the control to try and get a penalty or player booked/sent off.

for pes 4 they should have Barry Davis instead of Peter Brackley with Trevor Brooking. They're commentry was so good on actua soccer. Konami could also add a few more commentators instead of the same two. Maybe they shud improve the broadcasting style of the game. Gremlin Interactive concentrated on that a lot in actua soccer. Probably the only thing good about actua soccer, with the square heads and all.

I don't if it's already mentioned, but I like to see schwalbe's (on purpose diving to get a penalty or freekick) and that you could change the teams home stadium for the registrated teams.

I havent read all of the posts on this thread so i dont know if these have been said already, soz if it seems like im repeating.

A) id think the idea of players celebrating on the value of the goal is a great idea, i.e if a goal is scored in the last minute of a match then the celebration should be more enthusiastic than a goal for example in the first half.

B) i think commentary should be split between John Motson for cup games and martin tyler and Andy gray for normal games. The commentary should be improved as well because its pretty naff.

C) i think international games should take place meaning certain squad members are out.

D) i think that u should have the option to see the highlights from other games ( i know this would prob be boring but in a crucial match at the end of the season where your fate relies on the performance of another club i think it would be cool to have it as a cliffhanger).

E) i believe there should be a goal of the month/goal of the year competition and an awards ceremony.

F) i think training could be use once or twice a week (an option for it to be controlled by the computer) where you can up the stats of players.

G) i think there should be career threatening injuries

H) Now this goes of the point a bit cause it makes it a bit of a new game, however, id like to see a mode where you can go from rags to riches, start off in the sunday league or as a kid in a park and work your way up through the ranks. This would go by recieving points via match ratings (you would get to choose where to allocate them), also as this happens you would get increasingly more wealth and be able to buy better boots/shinpads etc..

Thanks for listening soz it went on so long

maybe they could add another stat called attitude so a player with high attitude is more likely to go for or be more successful at making cheeky lobs over the keeper or 25 yard piledrivers. A player with low attitude could play their game with more caution and will hardly ever try anything extravagant or will not be very successful at it. This stat could also be called flair.

They should have a graphics and titles theme matching the primary football shows like MOTD, relevant to the different countries.
