Im Beginning to like Pes 2011...

First of all... i totally disliked pes 2010 :realmad:

but i decided to give pes 11 a go... and i really did not like it AT ALL... :no: but i did appreciate certain improvements

So then i tried BAL.. and it was even worse! after playing a couple of seasons on BAL i said well lets give exehibition another chance

... And it was like hmmm its not so bad now..? and im actually enjoying it? :w00t yea it has flaws but maybe because of flaws in BAL i was able to get more into the game in ML / exihibition... but... never thought id even fall for it (ML)...

So i would recommend trying BAL for a couple of seasons.. if pes 11 didnt get you first time round

Dunno why, but I remember waiting for the FIFA demo and PES demo to be put on Xbox live, the PES demo came first which was fine by me because I really wanted to see what had been done to the game, from the minute I 1st played the demo, I liked it, knew it was a little fucked up, but I havent liked a PES like that for YEARS.

Despite all its illogical flaws, the more I have played PES 2011 the more I think its the best football game ever made. For the first time I can see myself playing a NG PES for a full year, ML has pulled me in again. For me this game has the fundamentals of what made the last gen games so good, ie player individuality, CPU team individuality, tactical battles and a good manual pass system. Having played fifa for the past few years it can be quite hard at first to get past some of the less fluent animations, however when you do you realise that PES is a real football sim. Dont get me wrong this game has flaws that make me want to track down the KONAMI dev team and hurt them but more importantly I finally have a game that in my mind surpasses PES 5. One of the things I love about the new game is the shooting, despite some dodgy floaters you really have to consider many elements if you want to get off a decent shot, it doesn't feel as automated as much as previous PES games. Very much to my own surprise I can't see me touching fifa again this year, it feels so scripted and generic compared to pes.

PES 2011 is fantastic and every game I play on it proves it more!! this is the best PES game period!! there appear to be a few flaws but nothing that will stop me playing this game.....we havent even scratched the surface of what this game has to offer. the more we play and learn how this new game plays and learn to rid ourselves of the habits of past pes games the more reward we will recieve! pes 2011 is the gift that will keep on giving!!!!
the best part of this games is its randomness, wacky bounces, dodgy deflections, 30 yarders that move in the air or bobble up of the turf at the last moment making the keeper look stupid, ridiculous shots parried onto three posts then cleared off the line etc etc.

The CPU AI cheats like CRAZY, its unbearable, ive nearly given up on Master League, my stats are being ruined by the CPU doing crazy shit to my players........3-1 up in the nou camp with my second string madrid team and the keeper comes out to gather a ball which is clearly going out of play, he then saves it right into the path of messi who crosses it in for villa to score........Cheating at its finest, i would have conceded about 4 goals all season had it not been for the ridiculous AI in this game and the free kicks it nearly always scores from close range. And im not a sore loser, my track record say 39 wins out of 45 games on top player with 3 draws and 3 losses but im sick of conceding crazy goals cos the CPU makes my player move away from attackers etc etc etc.

Its gamebreaking imo.

FIFA 11 got in my nerves quickly this year.
And the new editing features are very nice.

i agree. pes2011 is very best game. some time u find difficult some time u find easiest. i just won a 2nd round Champ league against inter, i played marseille on master league. 1st game at my home, win 4-0. but in inter home i lost 3-1(this game i just simulated). because of 4-0 won...i decided to simulate i guess in real world i will qualified. hehehe. pes2011 is the best game ever. only lack of camera angle, penalty system and transfer swap mode not included.

Love it but hated it at first!

Has anyone had a go at previous incarnatons after playing 2011? You then realise just how automated the passes are and you begin to hold down the button expecting a power bar and it does not feel right without one! - try it, it is weird!

That's true I played PES2010 again between the demo and the full game release, the robotic antics and auto passing seemed awful, hard to believe I played it for a whole year.

agreed - I had a mate come round for a lil while the other day and I beat him 2 from 2 on pes 2011 - then went to his place where he has pes 6 and beat him 4 from 5 (lost game 5 on penalties)..

Soon as i figure out how to shoot properly in BAL ill be loving it all.
