I'm confused

When I load my PES 09, the PS3 system prompt me for an update. So I install the update as per normal but I read somewhere in the forum that you need to download it from the PES 09 system setting.

Ok I tried downloading from there as it says there is an update. So I tried downloading using PTP and HTTP but there was connection errors on both. So I do not know if I have the updated version and I continue playing my Master League.

During the match however I notice that one of my players is using the new adidas boots. But when I check the champs league mode, there is no Man Utd blue away jersey, but I do have the new adidas boots. :huh:

So guys, do I have the updated version or what?? Where can I go check it? :shocking:

just check out the squads of the prem teams, if for example ur a man u fan i presume you would know find possibon and rafeal ect in your team. in the arsenal squad bischoff, wilshire silvestra ect have been added thats the best way to knw.

By the way i dont think these players will be in your master league squad as you started it before the update came out so they would not have been created.

This was y i waited until the update came out 2 start my ML.

My problem is, that it just hangs at 0% when downloading. Any 1 have any idea how long it takes to download?? (PS3). If its ages might just leave it on over night or something.

Mine started slow (using http), on 0% for about 5 mins. Speed then increased and whole thing was done in 10-15 mins.

Assume there is a queing system...

10-15 mins aint that bad then. The one update I had (PS3 update) took nearly 3 hours once.

Yeah, the system updates are a shitter. I leave the PS dawdling away & use my 360 instead. Having 2 consoles is a blessing sometimes.

Problem with update

Guys a friend's ps3 blocked when he tried to update the game when he inserted the dvd for first time and sony replaced his machine immediately! I think that it is a problem with the game because mines as well went to black screen and I closed the ps3 and after that everything was ok...

Don't have second thoughts. Like all updates there will be isolated incidents, 99% of people will have no issues, so go ahead. It's worth it.

Screamer's friends problem was more likely a hardware fault. Screamers could be a simple case of his connection dropping out.
