Yes, FIFA and EA Sports are perfect! Nothing like this has ever happend with that game or company. Noooooo, course not. Nooooo.

Thats why on FIFA 10, the update to include the useless kiddy card game took away the main football of the game (the one that ALL the leagues in europe use) (the nike one) and replaced it with a Adidas World Cup 1974 ball wich you could not change, taking away any license or authenticity in the game by doing so. Yet that was an accident and did EA fix it? NOOOOOO, they left it for 6 months. Because of "patch limit"

So nooooooo, it has never happend.

Personally I find both FIFA and PES fairly trite ... there is a space in the market for a decent football & Management sim.

Gun Runner made the good analogy on another thread about why would you try out a Nissan if you had a Ferrari ...

Well for me both PES and FIFA these days are Skoda's, made well enough by Volkswagen with VW parts but no-one really wants to drive one ... Its the mediocre filler until a better model arrives.

Considering football is the biggest sport in the world it's shocking there are only 2 main companies making football games. (EA & Konami)

Fair enough a couple more have tried, but they've put no effort at all into them...eg. This Is Football & that new-ish game with Gerrard on the front cover

If a company came out and really put money into it they could easily crack the market - although you'd still get PES/FIFA fanboys staying loyal to their game so I suppose the new game might not have sales that represent how good the game is.

I think in terms of other production houses making a successful series of football game its unlikely due to the image rights and its myriad of licenses ... I can only see a third game entering the market if its either prepared to invest serious cash or create a football game that is true to football in terms of style and physiques ... but it probably wouldn't sell as the majority of football buying punters these days are kids looking for an arcade style fix, I'm not having a go at them I was once one myself ... about 16 years ago! There needs to be a football game that caters for the hardcore footballing public.

Not true at all. If I had a Ferrari I'd still love to try out an R34 Skyline GT-R and even a 350z. Just because the prices are on completely different levels doesn't mean you can't get a good or great driving experience with a Skyline. Either way the experience will be different and that alone will make it worth trying.

I'm no fan of FIFA myself but I'd be tempted to see how it plays.

Having re-read the posts Mr Runner has already said he doesn't think FIFA is perfect but he prefers it and theres nothing wrong with making that statement.

Technically I'm making myself a target by even admitting considering playing FIFA ... but ... who cares.

Took the game back, not a fanboy (but knew I'd be acused of being one)
