it's funny how a ''change of luck'' makes me hate this game..yet keeps me coming back to it..

..i've just had a fantastic season! i've won everything; the spanish league, the cup and the CL..and i've totally deserved it with great performance, in my opinion..and i play on top player, so i suppose i don't completely suck..

..so, confident and optimistic, i start the new season..and it's going pretty much as i expect; i'm playing well, and my players, allthough not having the best stats, have become strong enough to handle the opponent quite well..however, when the qualifications for the CL started, the game completely changed;for a couple of games now (no matter if in CL, cup or league) it's like playing a completely different game! no matter who i play against, or my players forms (they're actually mostly in great shape at the moment!), my players get completely outrunned and destroyed in 1 on 1, my top scorers are hitting wide from positions that usually guarantee an easy goal, and my goalkeeper (who, i admit, isn't the best..but should be solid) can't hold on to practicaly any shot, but instead thumps it to an open opponent who simply ''pushes'' the ball into an empty net (which he did much less often before)..now, i know top player is supposed to be a tough challenge, and i've pretty much accepted it by now..but what bothers me is the ''sudden rise in difficulty/decrease in own team performance'', even if your players forms are supposed to be solid..

..i've been developing this theory a while, and it may only be my own ''bad mojo'', but do you guys think it's possible the game is designed to slow you down a bit, if you're getting by too easy?

I know the feeling it has happened to us as well many times.. (I play ML with a friend). I've diagnosed it simply being "Bad karma" or that the game simply isn't flowing as well as it could.. because the concentration or the easy going flow isn't there.

Once we had a similar, awful start to season playing draws losses, occasional wins. Then as a second session a week after we went on winning all the games we played. Once also had a bad end of a season. I think it really is just a matter of your mental concentration level.

But I defnitely know this feeling, sometimes the game just seems a lot harder and so difficult to get results. And I definitely feel btw that in CL and all final matches (cup, CL, EL) the game feels a bit more challenging as normally.. or just my imagination.. can't be sure :)

If i change a few players in the close season my team never plays the same start of new season, as the season goes on my players get better, suppose its just as team work increases. But i def reckon the comp tries to slow you down, its all part of the fun tho!

yeah..as i said, no matter how frustrating i get with the game, i keep coming back to it:p..the truth is, despite a few low points, there just isn't anything remotely as fun as playing PES:p
