^You're right. I own both and the difference is pretty huge.. In the small video of Pes 2009 (no one can fully judge) the graphics are better. The gameplay is what counts in the end though.

There's a clear difference between the PS2 versions of PES -and- PES09.. you can see it right away, Graphically there's NO comparison.

However, it is far from impressive -and- it seems Konami has taken a few pointers from EA. The gameplay (in the short trailer) doesn't looks as good as the pictures suggested.

Anyways, in my opinion PES09 players (judging by the pics) look more realistic than FIFA's. Players in FIFA09 have ridiculously Big Faces, they look disproportioned, by looking at the pics they give the impression that they will fall on their face at any minute.

It was the same with FIFA08, it looked great from far away -however- the closer you looked at it, the worst it looked; players with ridiculously big faces that looked kind of creepy. Honestly, I thought players in FIFA07 (PS2) looked more realistic.

To me, that Ronaldo picture don't look as amazing as people are pointing out. Looking at it in full size it seems as if he's standing on top of thousands of pixels.

That said, gripes about the picture or not, I'm part of the 97%.

When look at the detail of other next gen titles, Cal of Duty 4, Gears of War, GTA4, thats next gen quality, any game that doesnt equal the above games level of detail is just pure lazy and not worthy of PS3 or 360.

And the picstures that have been stuck on this site of PES09 do not have that quality about them. Their no different to PES08.

I agree graphics arent the most important thing, but it all boils down to effort that Konami put in from year to year. Which as we all no is minimal. PES09 will be a touch up of PES08, im expecting nothing more!
