I'd advise against picking Bolton then.....

Haha... I suppose you need a good sense of humour to support them these days, I remember when they were a fairly decent side... just about. ; -)

For some reason I like to play as an Italian side (usually Inter) in PES, that goes back to the classic PES 3 to 6 days...

It might be because the commentator was Peter Brackley (he used to cover Serie A on Channel Four)!

Bolton have been on a downward spiral ever since they sold Nicolas Anelka... At least they stabilised in the lower division... I bet Ali gets great satisfaction in guiding them to Champions League Glory :D
Are all keepers bad? Does De Gea not make great saves?

He does, but all keppers are bad when you shoot by the grass inside the penalty area. They just can't get to it.

Hmm...In pes 15 the commentator had a line which was something like "hit it low and hard, they used to say. Keepers hate it."
I remember listening to him and doing it and it working wonders. To be honest though this has been a feature since 2012 I think. If I hit a shot from inside the box with the least amount of power possible the chances of scoring have always been close to ~90%. What are we complaining about then? {for clarity, not being sarcastic, just curious}

It isn't realistic. If you hit a shot like that in real life the keeper will always get it, and your mates will kill you for "passing the ball to the opposition".

Yea I loved when Brackley commented on PES, him and Brian Moore were my fav commentators.

Brackley and Brooking were a pretty good partnership on PES.

My favourite football commentators are probably Barry Davies and Brian Moore. Martin Tyler's one of the last of the real commentators (as far as I'm concerned)...

I don't want there to be guaranteed ways of scoring, that spoils it for me. In the old days (PES 3 to 6)- it would feel like an achievement when scoring a goal.

The scripting is awful, i know it works both ways but why anyone buys coins? they're selling you coins then scripting you, it should be human v human, Just switched it of there, you know in the first few mins if you're getting beat.

PLayers are really slow

players like to pass the ball away far too often.

the mistakes the defence makes

the goal keeper saves nothing

their goalkeeper is unbeatable

when taking corners and youre aiming for edge of the box and it goes straight to keepers hands.

players just stand there waiting for the interception.

Nothing has changed, the game is guff and £onami have a cheek to sell people coins with the amount of scripting that is in the game. Same old same old.

I'm loving it so far only things that bother me are fouls and the way some defenders teletransport. Sometimes I'm passing it really quick and a defender is able to move from one direction to another faster than the ball.

this year where they've introduced the level of a player makes a massive difference in the way a team and it's players operate and posistion themselves and also makes them seem quicker off the mark.
i mean i was playing a guy last night who was rated 358 and i thought ok should be a solid win if i don't take him for granted as i'm 448 but my team with messi neymar torres muniesa gonzalez friedel etc are lvl 30 to 32 my best but 7 or 8 of his players especially the front three were lvl 39's and 38's and i had no time on the ball , no space , his players would close me down quicker and ultimately he was leading 2-1 before the match ended due to connection as usual LOL , but you get what i'm saying it's getting your level up to make the chemistry even better and i think this takes some lagg away as your team feels lesst sluggish and unresponsive. well his looked that way , don't know if his screen was like it but that's how it felt.

But all this is applicable for myClub only. I know from last year that on myClub TS (chemistry) plays a HUGE role, especially since initial players are shit and have shit stats. But I believe there are people here who claim to experience the sluggish controls and non-responsive/slow players on Online divisions as well. Everyone who feels online play apart from myClub is broken say 'AYE'.
(Disclosure: I do not have the game, my post is based on just what I have read on these forums.)

yeah i would imagine if i was to play online games other than my club it'd probably be really slow and nothing like ML offline , but it's been like this for years with pes i just don't think they heavily invest in top servers unlike EA  whereas a game of 6 v 6 pro clubs feels as smooth as offline.

It's called 'scripting' i.e. momentary shifts in performance consistency - it's how Konami create balance within the game and it's growing with each series (PES 14 was awful with it but 15 even worse, I don't know what 16 is like because I stopped playing competitively because of it).

Scripting is why online seems a lot worse than offline - when players don't move as well, get closed down quicker, when everything feels sluggish - it's almost a completely different game. Which is why I don't play it. I want my mistakes to be my own.

Just make goalkeepers better and fix the referees on fouls, otherwise I enjoy this game.

same for me. the game really is a breeze to play having come from fifa. but its ridiculous how easy it is to score once you get into the box. i just played a game with the computer where there were 11 shots and 9 goals. the ball just rolls past the keeper most times.

superstar with manual passing and shooting on 14 minute games should sort this out.

Konami don't like to stay too far from their COIN-OP arcade machine heritage!
