back to the same old debate , both country's who make these game don't have football as the main national sport so how are they going to know what the fans expect from a football sim , whereas if Berlin or London were to have a development team to make a football game it'd probably be the best football game in the world lol.

Even though FIFA is produced in Canada, I believe most of the development team is European (and British). Football is making good ground in North America right now, the Premier League is shown across the NBC-owned channels, every match.

lol nice one.

was very lucky 1. to be able to have fun with it and not moaning and stressing because the game clearly is broken again 2. to realize i would have regreted buying this year and spending my own money on it. and the guy's account it was lives in japan or china so my toty player was obviously messi whereas if i had bought it on my account i would of got the worst player in the 11.....like last year

The thing is don't you think if Konami could fix all these things they would, without ruining the game more.
They tweak things each year and get told its not worked. So maybe its not possible? or they have tried over the years but each tweak ruins another aspect of game play.

I'm pretty sure the first thing they do (its what I've done in all my jobs) is research and check out the competition. So they would be playing the new Fifa before any one else gets it. They would probably have a team that reads all these forums for feed back and research.

Maybe its not possible to re-create a game of football, (which every game is different that's the beauty of the game) any better than this?
unless you have 11 humans moving players at the same time.

Still I think 2016 gameplay is the closest to a real game of football your going to get on a console at the moment.

They should start by fixing the goalkeeping and refereeing, two very fundamental parts of a football match. We can only wait and see what happens on the 29th of October...

Every game is laggy.

you just have to laugh when every game is laggy and nothing like offline , and that awkward moment every game when you're 6-4 down and your on top and score two goals and should go on to win and the minute you get level there's a 100% momentum shift and your players can barely stand after what would seem like a whole team on acid trips just fall apart can't string one pass together and then of course you lose. game's diabolical but i'll play it for free like i said.

Makes me laugh when guys say this game is crap, it's one of the best they have made, ok a few little things need fixing and that's all it is, little things like the keepers (which Konami have said they will) and maybe the refs

If you don't like it go play fifa, simple

All of this...

I just can't get my head around it. How can people move over to FIFA 16 after playing PES 2016? My guess is they haven't played a FIFA game lately and do not know how many bugs it has and how they screwed things up after FIFA 12.

Wanna talk about refs? Don't make me laugh. In FIFA he calls for a foul every 20 seconds, and guess what; you can't even tell who gets the free kick most of the time!

Wanna play online in FIFA? Then you have to deal with momentum. It's like a button that will be switched on every now and then. You will notice it when your Cristiano Ronaldo will be outrun my John Terry and your 30 shots on goal won't give you a goal but that one and only single shot from your opponent does.

The game is not crap offline. It's not a 9 out of 10 game either.

What bothers me though is that some of the flaws in the game are very obvious. It's unbelievable that Konami haven't tried fixing those issues that I think can easily be fixed.

1. Goal keepers
2. Refs
3. Defenders don't know how to react properly. Sometimes they are really good but sometimes they don't intercept the ball that is within their reach, they're not closing in on the dribbler enough, sometimes they walk away from the dribbler, etc.
4. Team/Stat updates before release of the game!

There are more issues, but these 3 are very obvious. And I think, they can easily be fixed.

Like I've said before I think the problem comes when you try to code a completely free flowing open game.
with in some boundary's. (as in a game) to make it fair

if they coded the perfect defence for every situation you would never get near the goal or score.

so some how code in some simulated human errors (stupid goal keepers) or slow them down not get to the ball (slow downs or catch ups)

i tried ML and it's really good but i will have to try full manual because it's far to easy to score and defend on superstar and i'd need more of a challenge tbh.

I'm with you on this! That's why it's hard to code this type of games.

Another good example of this is assisted passing. You can attempt long through ball all game but most of time the defense will intercept it. But at some point, the cpu will decide to make your through ball a perfect pass that will result in an easy goal.

Unfortunately, some of the defensive errors that happen in the game doesn't(or rarely) happens in real life. Ex. Allowing the ball to pass in front of them even though the ball is reachable to be intercepted that results to an easy goal, Getting out of the way so that the dribbler can have a space to shoot.

BTW, I still love this game. Hopefully, they'll fix some of the issues. Specially, the obvious ones.:)

I traded (sold back to amazon at a loss) PES 2016, I found it too easy to score on 'Top Player', and it just didn't feel satisfying. The goalkeepers are really terrible, and the referees virtually non-existent.

I bought FIFA 16 and it is a really good game, people criticise it because EA have made it more simulation-like. As to the referees, there are about 4-6 fouls in my games (7 minutes). I think the refereeing is just right, but that's just my opinion. I like the challenge, and the fact that you can change the difficulty level before each match in the Career Mode. I use fully-manual settings.

I use 'Professional' when playing against middle-top teams, and semi-pro against middle-lower teams. I haven't enjoyed a football game as much since PES 5! EA have finally made it more of a simulation, and casual players are crying about it being 'too difficult'.

Anyway, if Konami fix the 'keepers and referees, I may well buy a used copy in a few months' time... (I don't play online any more- too many cheats and chessers who play 'kick 'n' rush' football.)

-Fouls: Non existent, 20 games (against CPU) at 10 mins, zero free kicks!

You need to play a lot more than 20 games.

Getting fouls called is a skill to be earned.

They train for it. Eventually, many of your players will earn the Malicia skill. And fouls will be called all the time.

What's the skill needed in order for the goalkeepers to actually make consistent saves?

Hopefully Konami will make all of that stuff OPTIONAL in the patch to be released later this month. / -: If I start a Master League season, I don't want my players to play like rank amateurs who have only just discovered football.

Please don't take this the wrong way but I think Konami are pathetic for doing quirky things like having to 'earn' the right to have your games officiated correctly!

Then you get some silly title like: Great Hunter of Prey, or Samurai Duck Toaster. Yeah, I'm being silly, but so are Konami...
