Despite what some people said I like the original, this one also seems to have the same feel about it but I can't help but thinking that the graphics could be better. Its only early days I suppose so I should just wait and see how this game develops.

Hate to break it to you but that stuff is all pre-rendered, this is what i said in the E3 thread

The Killzone footage isn't proper PS3 stuff, apparantly that IS possible on PS3 but would take 10 years to properly make. Oh dear

"It's not in-game.

It's not the engine.

It's not even in real-time!

It's all pre-rendered.

A UK studio did the effects work on it. Seriously, the whole thing was made up."

Oh dear indeed.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAH

Are you serious? It would take 10 GODDAMN YEARS to make the game to the standard as in those screenshots and you are hoping for better graphics?

Looks like a long wait for you then.

daym so they are prerendered :( , i really thought the cinematics where far too good to be true anyway. I disagree it will take 10 years to achieve the standard of visuals in real time, but to have game cuts , but AI attacking AI etc in such random form would take a million years :D

If that is the in-game graphics and not some pre render, then we are all truly in for some nice, nice visuals.

not to be taken seriously
I don't think they are pre-rendered. I reckon they are rendered in real time, because Sony showed that scene they were rendering, which looked nearly as good as killzone, and they were able to pause the scene and walk around it, so I believe the ps3 can handle that sort of data, it's just the whole random-ness of in-game play and AI.

If you think about it though it's a powerful machine that probably won't reach it's peak till 2010 so I would be kind of dissapointed if I weren't playing games like that in 5 yearstime.

Yes I am sure there was some footage of stuff rendered in real time, with the graphics looking really good. I don't think it will take 10 years to have a decent level of detail and lighting in a game. The AI will be a niggle as always, but i'm hopeful to start seeing goodness on the PS3 within a few years hopefully.

btw, goldeneye rogue agent was the worst shooter ever! It was fun and all but the game ( judged from an objective standpoint ) sucked.

Sony are going to hunt the guy who leaked the gameplay out, if there was an NDA involved.
