To be honest I couldn't give a shit about the front cover, as long as they don't make him like Adriano. Adriano must have demanded he was made the best in the game or something because he's virtually unstoppable-when in real life, he sucks!

In PES6 C.Ronaldo wasn't that good so no doubt they'll bump his stats up a bit but I hope they don't overdo it-if they do all the 'cheats' online will be switching Brazil + Inter for Man Utd + Portugal!

Ronaldo would have been massively improved anyway, regardless of whether he's on the cover. He won't be on the cover of the Japanese version, and he'll still be really good.

He will definitely be improved, we just hope it's not to the unrealistic standard of Adriano. He was already a great player on PES6 anyway.

Looking at this in a completely different way...
In the sales department this may bode well for PES and Konami!
All the youngsters obviously know who he is and after last season think he is one of the best players in the world. So when looking for a new game, they come across pes7 with cristiano staring at them..it may temp them to pick it up..

Just my thoughts!

I think you're onto something there.

All the kids prefer FIFA over PES, we all know that.

I'm sure there are many young kids who idolise him because of his style of play. If you ask me, seeing Cristiano on the front cover of PES 2008 may just persuade them to defect from FIFA.

Smart move by KCET if you ask me.

It is a very smart move by Konami in fact 'coz Cristiano is the #1 selling player atm. 2nd comes Rooney then 3rd is Becks. This should definitely boost the PES 2008 sales.
