Christ's Sake!! Do you think KONAMI would make a strategic marketing move to account for possible rise in sales in Mexico, Brazil or Argentina? The only country that matters in America is the USA. They are certainly not betraying their biggest fans because of the sales in Ecuador or Panama!

This kind of move has been done lots and lots of times. The thing is, they are surely making a mistake by appealing to the US public. Mexico, Brazil and Argentina have more football fans than most of the European countries, but the sales themselves, in those countries are never relevant enough (in numbers).

I still see this as a betrayal. What? Do they think that US players will buy PES just because its out the same day as FIFA?

I really hope it turns out to be a successful tactic though. However, the thing is, I'm getting kind of tired of Europe being forgotten. I'm on PS3, I'm sick of having to see the US store with better content and more reasonable prices as well as good videogame projects being turned down because in the US a game that has nothing to shoot at is not worth at all.

Its natural to try to appeal to new customers, but we should never forget those who really keep us running.

Europe is the continent of football! The European market has made it possible for PES to still exist! So it is our right and the minimum amount of respect and appreciation from KONAMI to release the game here first!

Damien, PES has been selling in NA for the past few years despite the invisiable marketing, crap release dates and FIFA's presence. Nothing like FIFA but still good. The game has basically surivived on viral marketing alone over here. I remember when Winning Eleven 2007 was released, the first one on the 360. Despite it being released 5 months later, it still sold out in most EB game locations I went to. Konami are finally realizing that releasing the game near FIFA's release date will actually increase their chance of success over here.

Oh and one other thing, soccer is just as popular here in Toronto as it is in the UK so take your bull shit elsewhere.
