There is one thing i dont get. why dont konami stop being such tight arses and pay for the licenses

if they did i'm pretty sure that this would bury all fifa games! thats the only reason people buy fifa because it has all the kits and divisions etc

I agree, they probably don't however because they know sites like this exist and can rely on the HARD WORK these people put in (for free) to develop the improvements you see hear - which KONAMI should have done originally..tight arses sums it up nicely for me.

Saying that it is rewarding for people like me who enjoy fiddling with pes 2008 and getting the game looking great not only at the people's hard work who develop these mods but for users like me who feel delight when a mod is created and makes a huge improvement to the game.

i think fifa have some sort of rights till 2009 or 2010 that prevents konami getting the whole prem

what i don't get is why there are differently official prem clubs on this version compared to last year they should b adding more teams every year not taking them away. last year we had arsenal and chelsea and man u now we have tottenham and newcastle no comparison.
and to think that cristiano ronaldo is on the cover yet on the game his team has not even got the correct name lol

They cannot, except by approaching each club individually. Cost & timemakes this very unlikely.

Dont get exited. Shit happens.

This gets discussed and whinged about every year.

The latest I heard was that fifa are the only one to have the official and exclusive licence to the English premier league and any other game that wants to feature premiership teams can only use 2 teams from it. Why they chose to change the standard of teams like this does seem a little strange but it does make the fans of Spurs and Newcastle happier I guess.

So you have to hope that konami can outbid EA for the licences when they are set to be renewed - but we know that it's highly unlikely that konami will get them as they are just not inclined to pay that much for them. Plus EA rely on the licences a lot.

Incidentally, that fifa advert I saw last night featuring Ronaldinho shows one of the most outrageous pieces of play in a football game ever! He flicks it over his own body and that of the defender and then volleys a curling shot in off the far post. ZOMG!

yeah i think the licenses for these things are really expensive, and i dont think Konami will buy into that.

But they could make many more pro fans if they had the english league licensed.

zygalski is correct by law konami can only have 2 english teams licensed at any 1 time, and as far as a i know EA Have extended there rights to all the teams, for another 3 years or something like that, so it doesnt look like we will have a premiership in pro evo for a long time

they cant do anything until FIFA's ownership of the licences expires in 2010 - so until then you have to live without proper prem teams til then
