thing is this sort of thing worked alright in Sensible World of Soccer (nearly failed my A levels cos of that beaut). where after a few years you'd have players like 'Paul Klinsmann' and 'Michael Cantona' who were just youngsters with names made up from the database, using the power of the amiga!!. I presume this is what'll happen in pes4.

It'll be just the same as having random names for the youngsters and more realistic than having players like zidane or whoever playing til they're 40.

I hope they aren't gonna re-use the names, that would add a real sense of amateurism to the game. I guess they will have the option to turn off player aging though and that'd stop the youngsters.

Cainer - it's more likely that zidane will play till he's 40 than it is that he and rooney will have a baby together and that their child will become a footballer called wayne zidane.

oh, but you maybe didn´t notice that SWOS has a database which is a "little bit" bigger than WE database...
No realism there to be honest, but I hope danny is right and we can turn this option off.

No they won't because that's the main thing of this new ML. They wouldn't be going thru all the trouble with building a ML new system so that people can turn it off.

Have konami lost the plot on this? are they seriously bigging up this regenration thing as one of their star features!!!??? anyone feel this is laughable to say the least??

i kinda like the idea of the players regeneration but i wouldn't say it's a star feature...a star feature is probably the licenses for the dutch, spanish and italian teams, the new passing system etc...
they wouldn't release the game in which one of the star features would be the regeneration thingy...imagine a person who's going to buy the game and the back of it says as the main feature:"Regeneration system in master league", the normal reaction of a person who doesn't know the game would be like:"WTF?"

that wasnt the point dorval he meant the ml was the star feature and that it being a part of something they are promoting as accurate makes it rediculous. It ruins any kind of simulation having such an unrealistic feature. you should perfect something before throwing it in the game not just give it your best shot and having it half assed. lets face it having the players regenerate as youngsters is an easy way out rather then having to create a system of generating new youngsters

Yeah, I still dont see how this makes the game any better, if a player reaches a certain age where it is better to retire, then thats it! no come backs. but then you see him back (same appearence? younger looking?) with a messed up name but plays the same...probably sharper as he's younger...a main feature or not, i would still say WTF! I sure hope it can be turned off......sod the regeneration, i rather they spent more time on working out their online capabilities, or license stuff...what a waste of time and effort on something so ridiculous!

im sure its gona be interesting tho. every series konami had somethin unique in and was all the time impressing. this whole idea about improving players and growth and i duno wat is a good strategy. theyre tryin to make us spend much more time on the ML. even if the regeneration wasnt as good, id still say for everything there is a begining. so im sure latter series would be much improved. as usual

Yeah takin nothin away from konami as they innovate. Compared to EA the only innovation thye seem to come up with every year is a catchy gimmick system, which everyone knows is pants. So credit to Konami for tryin different things. However I'm not convinced about this regeneration thing...ok so it may turn out to be different to how we imagine it, and it may evenbe ok, but i still have my doubts, we'll have to wait and see.
