Damn I'm confused. With the latest message from Konami in the game (don't edit anything), can we then overwrite these Bundesliga players or will it be smart to wait?

"We confirmed that applying DP1.0 causes overwriting of the edited data of player appearances (Face, Hairstyle and Physique).

The customers who want to keep using the edit data created before applying DP1.0, can salvage the data when DP2.0 is released.
Please do not delete the [Backup Edit Data] that is made up when applying DP1.0 and is necessary for salvaging.

Please avoid editing data before applying DP2.0, because the edited data that created after applying DP1.0 will be deleted when DP2.0 is applied."

i just don't have patience anymore. what is the point having edit mode if they reverse all,and then we have to do all over again. i think i am done with pes,fifa sucks so i won't play any football game. :(

I might just edit the whole game and keep pes2016 for the next few years rather than buying it every 12 months editing it, get an update and lose most of your editing, I don't really play online it's all about the master league for me

I was almost doing that with PES2013 (in 2014 I never touched PES2014), but 2015 and 2016 versions are much better in terms of gameplay so I had to upgrade. You will always go through the hassle of editing things over and over again for a few weeks (months) so you can have the better game ready to be played.

I'll stick with pes2016 until the ps5 comes out I don't get much time to play it these days anyway so I'll be able to actually win things in the master league

To anyone who's confused by Konami's message, they mean to say that those who wish to salvage appearances from the edit data backup when DP1 was applied, will lose any changes from that point. Their salvage is just a simple revert, with DP1 reapplied, and then DP2 on top of that.

If you don't care about the appearances you can continue to edit as normal. It also suggests to me we are now safe to edit appearances from now on, and DP2 will not overwrite them. Time to get cracking with the Bundesliga! ;)

wrong,i think they said that dp2 would overwrite dp1,therefore any editing on dp1 would be lost. for OF before dp1 they mean at the edit backup.

That's not the way I understand it. Their message says they will give players the chance to salvage the old data. When DP2 arrives it will come with a message asking if you wish to revert data from before DP1.

"The customers who want to keep using the edit data created before applying DP1.0, can salvage the data when DP2.0 is released."

It doesn't say everyone, it clearly states a choice.
